Guest guest
Dear Triptika, I don't know much about graha pujas as I have never been too interested in them, so the gurus on the list will answer this question for you. However, I may add, that in the scheme of the planets representing the devis, Saturn represents Kali. Also Amavasya is associated with Kali. The Saturn-Moon combination forms Kalika Yoga. In Bengali folklore, Kali puja has always been associated with Saturdays. If its Saturday, and Amavasya, then its considered perfect for Kali puja. Maybe that is why Shani puja is performed in the Kali bari. Others will give you the exact reason.
