Dear Narasimha,Visti,

 

In the explanation given below we have for Saptamsa

"If we take Pi as D-7 lagna (TOB +11:40 min), 5th

counted in reverse falls in Sc. Its lord Mars is in Li

with Moon aspected by Ve, Ra, Ket and Mer, thereby

indicating a female child. "

 

 

I am looking at the lessons taught by Narayana Iyer in

the Achyuta conference in 2003.

According to him "Aries, Cancer, Leo, Libra,

Saggitarius & Pisces are Male Signs. Taurus, Gemini,

Virgo, Scorpio,Capricorn & Aquarius are Female Signs".

 

Which is kind of confusing. Because based on the Lagna

whether it is male or female in D7 chart the counting

order changes and it changes the whole end result.

 

Can you please clarify.

Dear Visti,

 

My question still remains unanswered.

 

Pardon me for framing my question wrong.

 

In the first example they considered Pisces as female

sign and hence the counting is reverse.

 

In the next lesson from Narayana Iyer he says Pisces

is male sign and counting is zodiac.

 

Which one of them is correct ??

 

So, also is the case with Cancer, is it male or

female.

Dear Sai,

 

These are two independent things. Firstly, Pisces and Cancer are Male

signs and this is used in determination of sex of child. Secondly,

both are Even Signs hence if lagna rises in both these signs the 5th

house is reckoned in Anti-Zodiacal manner.

 

Example: Cancer rises in Saptamsa. Since it is an Even Sign, 5th

house is reckoned Anti-Zodiacally, which is Pisces. 5th Lord is

Jupiter and lets say Jupiter is in Pisces. Pisces being Male sign,

and especially if Jupiter is alone, Pisces will have a say in sex of

the child which will be Male.
