Dear Visti,

Ever wondered why these places/houses are the marana karaka sthana? Does this

have anything to do with the Karaka themselves?

 

Sun & Moon have their Marana karaka sthana in the 12th & 8th houses of which

Saturn is the primary Karaka

Mars & Mercury have their Marana karaka sthana in the seventh house of which Venus is the Karaka

The two guru's Jupiter & Venus have this is the 3rd & 6th house of which Mars

the God of war and parakrama is Karaka

Saturn has this is lagna of which Sun is the karaka

Rahu has this in the ninth house of which Jupiter is the karaka with the Sun,

 

.....now, next hint: Only eight planets are given for the Marana Karaka places.

Does this have a link to the asta chara karaka instead?

Dear Frank and Tanvir,

These placement are called 'Marana Karaka Sthana', and i think they are clearly

given in Sanjays book on Narayana Dasa. This is derived from Jataka Parijata.

 

Planets places here are in their worst possible house placement and can cause

death/destruction to the houses they lord.

 

The evil results are appeased by the planets being in exaltation/own sign, or in

other auspicious yogas. Also these positions are to be reckoned from Dasa Rasi.
