People say,"Every thing is born from the womb of time and finally

returns to the womb of time." "Time is the creater and Time is the

destroyer".There is nothing beyond the scope of Time.There cant be

what we call as Fate without Time.We say that "such and such a

thing had happened at such and such time and it was destined to be

so."Time is a measurable physical quantity .If a certain thing happens

repeatedly ,we call that by the name

"periodicity""periodic-phenomenon"constant observation through some time

revealed beyond doubt that there is periodicity in the occurence of

favourable and unfavourable events in day to day human life.Life has

a definite course of growth ,manifestation and developement which is

amenable to study in terms of time.For instance ,puberty is usually

attained at such and such time in the life of an individual

etc.Embryonic changes occur at definite time periods only. Just as

food stuffs are classified as consumables and poisons,Time too was

identified and classified as good and bad ones.They studied what is

called cycle of time.and applied it to explain human life.As a

passing reference let me point out that "History repeats itself ". Time

may also be defined as "Change"Any change which is subject to

measurement.Measurable change.The nine planets are taken for

determination of time and the various time periods are related to

those planets.They understood that it had worked well.They accumulated

a body of organised information and knowledge which atonce can be

subject to verification----ie they developed a body of verifiable

knowledge.What is for example Rasi--Dasa?.Each rasi represents a

certain quantum of time.--classified as good or bad with respect to

the results which a person is likely to get during that

time-period.Similarly Graha--Dasas. Astrology, I believe is a study of

fate/Destiny in terms of Time. Much of our life is only full of

repetitive events.All our so - called planning is based on our

conviction that things repeat in life.Manifestation of Samskaras and

definite time periods related to them are inseparable It may be true

to say that Gravitational force cant be conceived as existing beyod

time.I have tried to present my hypothetical ideas in the above

paras and the same may be of some use to throw some light on the

argument that Astrology is a science.Hoping that my ideas have some

truth ,I have presented them.
