Sarajit: Yes you are right, Jupiter's aspect on the 2nd from UL is a great

blessings and protect the marriage. However, there are diffierent degrees of

afflictions in different horoscopes. If the lord of the 2nd from UL is also

afflicted along with the affliuction of 7th, the situation becomes worse. You

have to look things based on various such indications before pronouncing your

judgements. There can still be possibility of break in marriage if the 2nd is

highly afflicted. Morever, it is seen in many horoscopes, that when the 2nd

from UL is heavily afflicted, the person marries when Transit Jup is not

aspecting the 2nd from UL.

marriage was so important, > is it correct to arrive at predictions about

longevity of marriage, > just by looking at a chart?

Sarajit: Yes, however the knowledge of Jupiter's transit during marriage would

be of additional help.

how should longevity of marriage be reckoned?

Sarajit: Very unlikely such marriage would happen. However, if it happens, there

would be possibilities of salvaging the marriage, by the partner, whose 2nd from

UL is not afflicted.
