Dear Frank,

Has guruveda said why we should fast on this day? On which CD does he talk

about this?

Without knowing the context of this statement, let me try: The Rahu-Ketu

midpoints are very sensitive. The point at Rahu + 90 degrees (A) will give

Rahu's results (good results), while the point at Ketu + 90 degrees (B) will

give Ketu's results (bad results). The results will be related to the graha

being transited, its karakatwa and placement.

Thus, it would make sense to fast when bad results would occur (when Ketu +

90 degrees transits over the natal moon).

Now, some questions regarding this:

1) Why are Rahu's results "good" and Ketu's results "bad"?

2) Will the results be related to the karakatwa, placement, lordship (or

other) of the graha being transited?

ajit
