Namaste Group members,

This is Shanmukha. We were discussing Kala Chakra Dasa on

last Sunday in our SJC East meet. I writing some of the points raised

in the meet. Partha Sarathy will be preparing total minutes of the

meet.

1. The very first point is regarding Deha & Jeeva Signs. The first

dasa in KCD is Deha and 9th dasa is Jeeva for savya nakshatras and

reverse for apasavya nakshatras. All most all articles on KCD

appeared in Raman's The Astrological Magazine say that Deha & Jeeva

signs are fixed for the nakshatra pada occupied by Moon at birth. Say

for example, Moon is at Hasta 2nd pada, Deha Rasi is Capricorn and

Jeeva is Gemini. All books we referred to ex: "Kala Chakra Dasa" by

Summet Chugh or Jataka Parijata or Phala Deepika say so, except only

one book i.e.; our SJC Guru P.V.R.Narasimha Rao's " Vedic Astrology:

An Integrated Approach". On page 260, section 24.32 Deha and Jeeva

Rasis, He writes " In table 44- table 47, we listed the deha and

jeeva rasis of different nakshatra padas. However, these hold for one

born at the beginning of the nakshatra pada. One can have different

Deha and Jeeva rasis based on the elapsed portion in Nakshatra pada."

There is again one more confusion. Mr. Summet Chugh says that deha

and Jeeva rasis are fixed for a birth chart and they don't change

when dasa cycle change. But Mr. K.N.Rao in his "Journal Of Astrology

Jan-March 2000 issue where he discusses KCD, writes that Deha and

Jeeva change when next cycle of dasa commences.

2. Second issue is regarding applicability of KCD. Sri P.S.Sasthry

in his article " The Kala Chakra Dasa System - The Right Approach" in

Jan 1998 issue of Raman's Astrological Magazine page 18 writes " In

order to apply the Kala Chakra dasa system for any chart either Venus

or the lord of Navamsa occupied by Moon must be the strongest in

Shadbala". Phala Deepika verse 22:30 says so. In my own chart where

Venus is with 7.85 rupas only next to Mars 9.87 rupas, and Venus is

Navamsa dispositor of Moon. My chart better explained with KCD even

in my D-24.

3. In one of the books that one of our member carried (sorry, I can't

recollect the title) in Telugu (a regional Indian Language), says

that KCD is applicable only when Navamsa Dispositor of Moon have

aspect or Yoga with moon in Rasi Chart. (The same is applicable in my

chart).

3. By the way which is correct time of time of birth of Indira Gandhi

in following.

11:11 pm --> All Astrological magazines and K.N.Rao

11:07 pm --> Narasimha in Varga Chakra book

11:03 pm --> Gauranga Das in Varga Chakra Book &

Narasimha in his Book Vedic Astrology Integrated approach

11:02 pm --> Sanjay Rath in Varga Chakra

I request members and Gurus to clarify above points so that we can

proceed further in our next meet.

I remain,

Shanmukha
