JHora Clarification (New Software info?)

Namaste all,

 

There is some confusion regarding JHora commercial version.

 

The commercial version of JHora is not yet available. It will not be available

until April 12. It will most probably start shipping shortly after April 15.

 

Also, the price of the software has not yet been decided. However, it will not

be $20 as mentioned by Sanjay. It will be of the order of $200. It will

definitely be more than $100. Sanjay must've thought it is $20, due to some

confusion. He probably confused it with Achyuta Jyotish Workshop CD, which is

$20 in USA. That CD comes with the latest Lite version of JHora and NOT the

commercial version.

 

When the commercial version is ready for shipping, I will announce it on the

lists. Until then, please don't send me mails asking me about JHora. Already a

few people sent me mails inquiring where they should send $20.

All the features you ask for and much more are available in the Jagannath Hora

software. You can get your copy from P V R Narasimha Rao. I am copying this

mail to him and the lists for the benefit of all.

1.Astakavarga, Bhinnastakavarga both Parasara & Varahamihira methods,

Sarvatobhadra chakra and kala chakra at the click of a button what more can one

expect.

 

2. Divisional charts: All divisional charts including parasara 16 divisions,

Tajaka neelakantha divisions, jaimini divisional charts as well as nadi

divisional charts!!! These charts also have various options and configurations

based on whateever you want. For example the Hora chart will have about 2-3

options.

 

3. Dasa-Bhukti..upto SIX levels and that too for all udu dasa including

Vimsottari, ashtottari, shodasottari...etc, all Rasi dasa including narayana

dasa, drig dasa etc, including special dasa like karaka kendradi dasa, Moola

dasa, tribhagi dasa, etc..the list is endless..about 50 dasas can be

calculated.

 

4. Day options include 360, 365.25 as well as the option of solar transit that I

also use. Precision ..it uses the Swiss ephemeris and can make charts as old as

4000 BC!!! with complete accuracy so that you can work on timing the events

like Mahabharata or the charts of Jesus christ, krishna etc. The swiss

ephemeris that is used in the free program cannot give accurate data for more

than 100 years hence the discrepancy. The JH Lite does not have the entire

ephemeris. Get the Jagannath Hora it is priced at rock bottom rate of US$ 20.00

for all of the world. Third world Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal can

get it for just Indian Rupees 500/- plus shipping & packing..contact Sailesh

Chaddha).

 

5. various sunrise options including varhamihira's condition of visibility of

the solar disc. choose what you prefer.

 

6. Nakshatra, avastha, gati, panchanga including panchanga lordhsips of tithi

vara nakshatra yoga and karana (planetary) and what not all.

 

7. Atlas- a team of 3-4 people of SJC pitched in all effort to provide every

city and village in this world. They have done a stupendous job and Sri

Jagannath is sure to smile at such good Karma done for a very good purpose. The

number of cities for India alone surpasses the total number of cities/towns

listed for the whole world in other software. Atlas itself is about 60-100

MB!!!

 

8. Authors can right click and save any chart that can be imported into word or

any other program in a second. I liked the "when does the lagna change' feature

that can be used for all divisional charts so that rectification becomes very

easy.

 

9. The standard strengths, Yoga etc is there including Varshaphala, KP etc. Try

the TITHI PRAVESH CHARTS and compressed dasa. Transit search has various

options. The best part of the software is the 144 year forwarding which is

required for mundane charts.

 

10. I had been teaching the importance of progressions as given in Manu smriti

and used in western astrology. I have been urging Indian astrologers to try

this tool and not to take such a negative view of any body of knowledge. This

has also been added with various progression options.

 

....lots more. I think the price is low but respect the wishes of all SJC members

to keep it that way.

 

I must say that Narasimha has paid his guru dakshina to me in full with this

excellent software. My dream of having a cheap software with all the features

for astrologers all over the world, especially India where they cannot afford

it (I was one such person) has been fulfilled. The proceeds from sales shall go

to Sri Jagannath Center for funding research in the subject.

New Software info?

Dear Sri Jagannath,Greetings.Some weeks ago I read an e-mail explaining that

this April new software will become available from Sri Jagannath.If possible

tell me more of it, or write to me an e-mail to which I could write to obtain

information.The features I am looking for are:I. Ashtakvarga.II. Divisional

charts. (These first two I haven't studied yet, but seem very important to

me).III. Dasa-Bhukti-Antaradasa (and lesser periods?)a) I'm most interested in

purchasing a software that enable me to find out with precision the periods,

and to read periods as small as possible because there in long dasas are

bhuktis that last several years!b) Day=Sun Degree for calculating periods, for

I believe that was the idea of the great sages.IV. Precision. Sadly I have

found that chart presented in some websites of V.A. show the Moon 1-2 degrees

behind its actual position at some moments as shown by the "Swiss ephemeris";

and other planets are also show 1' behind their positions.V. NakshatrasVI.

Atlas (if possible)Which are its system requirements? (My computer is slow and

could need a new processor, and is using Windows 98)
