Guest guest
Dear friends, Taxman cometh. With regards, Jagmeet http://www.deccanherald.com/deccanherald/mar22/i5.asp BANGALORE, (DHNS) Although the 2003-2004 budget proposes to tax astrologers and astropalmists, the budget itself was presented keeping in mind the tenets of astrology. The budget was presented at 9.30 am today to evade the evil impact of Rahu kalam. According to sources, the budget which was originally proposed to be presented at 11 am was advanced to 9.30 am for this purpose. The fortunes of astrologers, astropalmists, numerologists and faith-healers will take a dent as the State budget has proposed to bring them into the next tax bracket. The fortunes of online lottery centres and lottery agents is also at stake. Chief Minister S M Krishna, who presented the budget in the Legislative Assembly, proposed to levy a tax of Rs 1,500 per annum on all these professionals in Bangalore and Rs 1,000 per annum elsewhere in the State. Mr Krishna, who re-designed his official residence according to the principles of vaastu when he took over as the Chief Minister, has not spared the vaastu consultants, who are also proposed to be brought under the tax net besides Feng Shui and other similar consultants. Also proposed to be brought under the tax net are designers and landscaping consultants, as well as yoga and reiki treatment and training centres at a similar amount.
