Placement of a house lord, if it happens to be other than the dusthanas, in the

dusthana tends to spoil the house. In the 8th house it is not good and it will

give weaknesses from birth. However 8th is the house of occult and Lagna lord's

placement is the place where the intelligence is focussed and hence the native

will be interested in occult, wheras the health suffers. Now this situation can

only be salvaged if the lagna lord is placed with strength and some natural

benefics aspecting it, then only you will get benefit out of such placements.

 

Balarista happens only when the Lagna lord is not placed well, Moon the karaka

for body is not placed well and the lagna is aspected by malefics. There are

different degrees of them based on how they are placed. Now even if there are

such yogas aspect of natural benefics on the lagna and the lagna lord is always

beneficial and shall break such evils.

I missed out the 8th lord placement in the 12th. This is good if the 8th lord is

debilitated in the rasi or navamsa, this will cause vipareeta rajayoga.
