Guest guest
Dear friends, Out of the four points raised by Shri Visti, the most important is that members want to know what will they get out of it and what the money will be used for. Yes,if there is a price tag, there will be expectations on the part of person who is paying to know what will be received in return. Once the person knows what he/she will receive and they receive that, they can decide to pay but after that it should be no concern of theirs as to how the money is spent by the organization. ------------------------ Sri Jagannath Group: This is the free internet class where the Jyotish Guru's interact with the learners, both advanced and basic level to discuss the lessons posted. Members are trying to reconcile with the stated mission of SJC,where it is specifically said that there will be no exchange of money. It should be amended to following:-Sri Jagannath Group: This is the internet class where the Jyotish Guru's interact with the learners, both advanced and basic level to discuss the lessons posted.Dakshina may be made to SJC. (Paypal/Checks/MO etc be made payable to------ and sent to the following address----) I am learning something from this Group so my Guru is SJC.Once I give gurudakshina, I am not interested in how and where the money is spent because if I had Guru in person(the Guruchandal yoga will not let a Guru find me)I will not ask him how he spends the gurudakshina. Some may be able to give more then the fixed fees, some less but ultimately Jyotish will be the winner. In this regard, can we find some means for 'Gupt'Gurudakshina so that everyone may contribute without anyone knowing what the other person has given and protecting everyone's privacy. I agree with Ms.Wendy's point that even a Guru has to run a household and I would like SJC to flourish.SJC should also continue to take care of those who have the inclination but not the means. For me Jyotish is and will always be a way towards my spiritual growth. I don't want a quid pro relationship between spiritual and money. I give one,I get one. This is strictly my personal view and I hope I have not hurt anyone. I will request the governing body of SJC,to give a thought to the above. With regards, Jagmeet
