Jaya JagannathDear Amit,You have to be very observant regarding the

opportunities around you. For more information, please go thorough VRA. Lets

see what Pt. Sanjay Rath says in VRA.

 

Curse of Serpents (Rahu): Rahu indicates the serpents. Its affliction of a

house, its lord or its significator (either together or separately) with either

Saturn or Mars shows the curse of serpents. The curse of serpents is very

destructive in nature and results in the gradual destruction of a house due to

the spread of poison in that house. The curse of serpents is also seen in such

adverse yoga like Sarpa Yoga (presence of three or more malefics in quadrants)

or Kalasarpa Yoga (all planets hemmed between the nodes). Remedy lies in

making an idol of Nagaraja[1] (Lord of Serpents) in Gold and worshipping it.

Donate a cow, some land, sesamum seeds and a little gold. In the case of Sarpa

Yoga, the presence of benefic planets in quadrants destroys the Sarpa Yoga

while for Kalasarpa Yoga, the presence of benefic planets in either the Lagna

or 7th house or conjoining either of the nodes destroys the Kalasarpa yoga. In

such cases, the Moon breaking the Yoga results in Mahasankha Yoga whereby

fasting on Mondays and worshipping Lord Shiva and Nagaraja[2] is advised. If

Jupiter is the planet, then the resultant Yoga is called Mahapadma Yoga and

fasting on Thursdays and worshipping Lord Vishnu and Sri Balaram[3] is advised.

In this manner the remedial measures can be prescribed.in any horoscope which

has Kala Sarpa yoga, Kalamrita yoga or Sarpa yoga being broken by a natural

benefic planet conjoining the nodes or placed in Lagna/7th house, then the

first remedy is to strengthen this planet.

 

When Rahu is malefic, the remedy is to worship Ketu and Vice-Vera. Hence the

dictum “Kaloh Chandi Vinayaka”. Chandi is for Rahu and Ganesha (Vinayaka) is

for Ketu. Now in your case, Rahu is leading the planets and cause the KSY. In

your Navamsa, we can see that Virgo is the karakamsa, whereas and Rahu is

placed in the 12th house with Mercury. So Rahu also becomes your ISTA Devata.

Now the combination of Rahu and Merc shows a specific deity, which you will get

to know on your own, when you do the mantras of one of the planet placed there

in.

 

Now if your ISTA is happy, then the effect of the KSY will diminish as your ISTA

will lead the planets. So you must do your ISTA Mantra "AUM AIM HRIM KLIM

CHAMUNDAYAI VICHCHAI" (Chamunda- Dasakshari) 108 times at night before going to

sleep.

However as Lagna is placed outside the nodal axis, your own effort shall make

Here, Mercury shall take the nature of Saturn. Probably you are attracted

towards other religion. Evebthough its placement as 4th lord in the 9th could

I happened to cast my own Horoscope Chart using Jhoralite s/w. According to

Nirayana planetary information I learnt that Atmakaraka is Rahu. But When I

used other online softwares, I learnt that Atmakaraka is moon. My understanding

is that the planet occupying the highest longitude is meant to be

Atmakaraka(AK).

 

Can anyone clarify on this. I am learning Astrology on my own and very soon I

hope to start with BPHS and Jaimini Upadesa Sutras.

Dear Sri,

 

Your AtmaKaraka is Rahu and Moon is the AmatyaKaraka. Rahu is at 6 Cp

02 while Moon is at 19 Ta 45 ( actually the highest degrees) but as

the Nodes move in the opposite direction, you will consider Rahu at

30 deg - 6 deg 02 min which is 23 deg 58 mins and so becomes the

AtmaKaraka.

Respected Shiv ji and other members,

Thanks for the reply. I did go through the lesson of Pt. Snjay Rath ji on AK and

interpreted the chart based on AK position in Rasi/Lagna chart.

 

Surprisingly, the lesson confirms correctly that Rahu as AK makes one very

spiritual. I was highly God minded since my birth. The love for God did make me

practice little spiritual sadhana under 2 gurus. This coincided with my Rahu

Mahadasa (from 1982 till 2000). I can openly reveal that my meditations could

raise me upto Turiya stage(next to Jagrat, Swapna and Sushupti).

The lesson further indicates that the native will undergo lot of suffering

during AK dasa in Vimshottari dasa. This Very much confirms in my case. My

whole career took a beating and I could not excel in academics inspite of my

Good IQ and good learning capabilities. So much so that I realized that my

spiritual practices were coming in the way of my career. In year 2000 or so I

guess, The Guru Mahadasa started and suddenly there was a change in my mind.

This change made me put my sadhana at rest for a while and start thinking of my

career. This brought me to US and made me do a second Masters degree in Computer

Science. I am currently in Guru Mahadasa and strangely I picked interest in

Astrology on my own and have picked up good many concepts in the last one

year. Do I show signs of learning Astrology and become a good astrologer?

But I have one worry – two good astrologers in India predicted that I will not

go back to Spiritual fold again. Is that so? I am not sure as to what my chart

indicates. But my intuition tells me that I am finally destined to be in

Spiritual Line. The AK position(Rahu) in 4th house in Lagna chart indicates

that the native will be a Karma Yogi.

To add further, in my chart Jupiter is in 3rd house and in his own

sign(Dhanus/Sagittarius). Does that mean Jupiter is powerful in the chart? That

part, Moon is exalted in the 8th house( in Vrishabha Rasi). Moon in 8th house is

co-joined by Saturn and Sun(conferring longevity and nullifying the so called

Balarishta ) . The lesson indicates that these factors give the native Fame

and makes him a hard working individual.

Members may kindly correct my interpretation and add a rejoinder.
