Dear All,

There is an example in the Narayana Dasa (ND) book by Gurudev where

the stronger of the two lords (Ke , Ma) of Sc is determined to find

out the length of ND of Sc.

The time given is : 9.15pm Aug 7 1963 21N28 84E01

based on this Ma is in Vi and Ke in Sg.

As per the rules, since both lords are outside of Sc the rules for

determining the stronger lord is used.

1. Both are alone -

2. Both are aspected by Ju -

3. Ke is exalted in Sg - Ke is stronger.

However there is a jump to the last step (8, below) of findng out, by

which planet gives a longer period. This is Ma (Sc in Vimsapada-

zodiacal count).

can someone exlain why the other steps were skipped along with step 3

above. The other steps are

4. Dual > Fixed > Movable

5. sign whose lord id AK

6. Degree of Ke and Ma

7. Even sign lord in Male sign or viceversa

8. sign giving higher ND period.
