Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Chandramukha Das, The question is if not the cutting of the umbilical cord, then which time. If you logically analyse the issue, we can judge, what should be the birth time. If we see that birth is the process, which starts with the union the parents, fertilization of the egg, embedding of the ferilised egg on the endomatrium, growing of the embryo, coming out the the grown baby from the uterus, cutting of the umbilical cord. We see that there are more than one significant event in the process and each can be used for some or other purpose. However, what is important is a generic proposition which applies to all the cases and which is without ambiguity. Now, I shall concentrate only on the birth time. Now what happens with the birth. What comes into picture, which was not there before. What comes into existence astrologically. The answer is unanimously the coming of Lagna into existence. You see that Lagna only shows your independent existence. In the whole process, you have been a part of the mother. You have been living on the blood and minerals supplied by the Mother through the umbilical cord. You becomes Independent (your Lagna takes over), only when the you become independent from the Mothers body. Otherwise you are nothing but an organ/ appendage of the mother's body. So the coming out of the head, first crying etc. cannot be a time which can show the independent existence of yourself (Lagna). When you are there in the womb as a part of the mothers body, you had both the Sun (soul) and Moon (mind), however, what you didn't have was the Lagna for yourself. So the coming of the Lagna indicates the real birth time. Hope, I could clear some clouds over this issue.
