Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste friends,

Some of you know me as the administrator of vedic astrology list; some of you

know me as the author of JHLite software; some of you know me as a student of

Pt. Sanjay Rath; some of you know me as a Jyotish Guru at SJC; and, some of you

know me as the author of the textbook "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach".

The Jyotish tradition I belong to traces itself back to Sri Achyuta Dasa, a

great astrologer of Orissa and one of the pancha sakhas (five associates) of

Lord Chaitanya. In his name, I am holding "Achyuta Jyotish Workshop" in New

Jersey (USA) on 2003 January 25 & 26 (weekend). Due to the limited time, your

help in spreading the word to any interested parties will be appreciated.

The stress in this workshop will not be on calculations, because software can

take care of that. The stress will be on making judgments. This workshop will

aim at teaching how to put the building blocks of Vedic astrology together and

make predictions. The classes will be practical and interactive. We have a

laptop projector on hand and can go through charts in JHora (my software)

together.

As we have only 30 seats, we request you to RSVP immediately if you want to

attend this event. Please send an email to pvr (AT) charter (DOT) net giving your name,

email, phone number(s) and postal address. You will get an acknowledgement.

[update on Dec 30, 2002: We have a handful of seats left still.]

Due to financial constraints, we are not planning to record these classes. So,

if you live within a travelling distance from New Jersey, please consider

attending the live event rather than waiting for the CD's or tapes!

May Jupiter's light shine on us,Narasimha

Namaste all,

Effort will definitely be made to record the classes and put both the

days on one CD in mp3 format and sell it for something reasonable. I

am not yet sure it will be done and so did not want to promise it.

When I complained about the CD prices a while ago, somebody pointed

out that this knowledge is priceless. Of course, he is correct. We

are not trying to price the knowledge. Nevertheless, as a teacher, I

want what I teach to be accessible and affordable to as many students

as possible.

BTW, I am extremely pleased with the prices announced for the

Hyderabad conference CD's and believe many more people will be able

to afford them! Great job by the SJC-East team!

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
