dear frank,

note the enclosed diagram. this is called kalachakra.

Kala starts from 6 am in the morning with the day lord as the kala lord and

proceeds clockwise at an interval of 1.5 hours. At 6 pm the progression of kala

will reach day lord and from that point the kala lord will be 7th from day lord.

The progression then will be again clockwise from there. Say for example, on

Monday…

1st kala: 6 am to 7:30 am – Moon

2nd kala: 7:30 am to 9 am – Rahu… and so on

8th kala: 4:30 pm to 6 pm – Sat …next kala lord will be 7th from Moon

9th kala: 6 pm to 7:30 pm – Jup

10th kala: 7:30 pm to 9 pm – Budh ….and so on

Like this rahu kalam.. in fact any kalam can be seen for any particular day.

Hope this answers yr question.

vakSaHshila-TaN^ka-nakhaalayaNamaste,{ fyi I have searched the archives and

found little on this;and I listened to the most recent tapes by Sanjayji

fromthe west coast conf Aug 2002, yet cannot get a bead on thecorrect technique

to apply)Can someone clear up my doubt... Rahu Kalam is calculated bydividing

dinmaan into 8 equal parts. We all have pachangs tosee when Rahu Kalam occurs (

8th part on Sunday, 2nd part on monday, 7th part on tues, etc. etc).Yet when I

set down to do the calculation and "own" this knowledgeI come up short on the

method. That is:Sunday = 8th part ; I see this because 8th lord is RahuMonday

is 2nd part ; I do not see how Sunday's cycle logicallyspills into Monday's 2nd

part, as with Tues -Saturday.Can someone assist ?[Om Kleem Krishnaaya
