Here are some open questions that I have - Would love to get clarifications. 1. Maraka Sthanas. It is said that the lords of 2nd and 7th houses (being the 12th from 3rd and 8th - House of life) are marakas. With Aries Ascendant, I have Venus being lord of both 2 and 7th. Hence a powerful Maraka. But, I have read in the footnotes of one of the books (James T Braha) that in Aries ascendant, Venus' loses its maraka effect. Does anyone have a source for this? 2. You should also read about Rudra,Maheshwara and Brahma from Jaimini Sutram. Maybe there would be a lesson latter on Longevity. It's best to learn the fundamentals from the Classics like Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jaimini Sutram, Saaraavalli, Sarvaartha chintamani, Satya Jatakam, Brihat Samhita, Brihat Jataka, Phaladeepika, Prashna Marga etc. And the lessons in SriJagannatha list archives,CoVA,Narayana dasa ,vimshottrai dasa book and Vedic Astrology an Integrated approach.
