Dear Gurus and Listmembers,

The following are my answers to the Lesson 2. I will be very grateful

if someone can check them and point out my mistakes.

Thanks,

Sadashiv.

1. Try to define the role of God in your life.

For me to become one with God is the ultimate goal. To do that I have to get

rid off my six weaknesses (Shudrasas). To win those shudrasa I have to get

in touch with the saharsadal (i.e. the top part of brain). To reach the

sahrsadal I need to do pranayam. In other words I need to do sadhana. Now to

do sadhana I need to develop devotion (Bhakti). To develop devotion I need

to do nam jap, omkar, and acquire knowledge (Gnana).

2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God?

For last five years I have been getting up at 4AM. And do omkar, jap, and

pranayam. Every day I try to read scriptures such as Das Bhod, Manu Smruti,

Dhurma Sindhu for an hour to gain knowledge. Few months ago I started to

learn astrology.

3. Which statement is more relevant:

(a) God is all, or

(b) All is God

God is all is more relevant to me because God is in everything at the same

time everything is not God. Because there are certain things we need to be

free of (i.e. Shudrasas).

4. How is the role of a Jyotish different from a priest?

Jyotish is a flash light when the priest is a blind man's cane.
