Dear Gurus and Listmembers,

 

The following are my answers to the Lesson 2. I will be very grateful

if someone can check them and point out my mistakes.

1. Try to define the role of God in your life.

 

Role of God is undefinable. God is indefinite and so is his role. My

life is definite if considering only this janma. Otherwise that too

is indefinite like God as it too is one manifestation of God changing

clothes.

 

 

2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God?

 

I am always as close to God as possible, infact indistinguishable.

Its only that I do not have a realization of it. Probably taking up

the study of astrology is the most relevant step taken by me in this

direction in the past one year.

 

 

3. Which statement is more relevant:

(a) God is all, or

(b) All is God

 

Both are equally relevant.

 

 

4. How is the role of a Jyotish different from a priest?

 

Role of Jyotish is to help mankind move in the Satwik direction to

ultimately get out of the illusion of maya and I think that should be

the role of a priest too. I guess the difference is in the path. The

Jyotisha uses the path through Knowledge of Jyotish while the Priest

follows the path of Bhakti.

stand at the shore, yet we know that there is a depth and an expanse.

In this manner although we cannot define an exact role, yet we can

define the areas where we have seen His hand work and have learnt to

thank Him for His kindness. Even in this janma He has multiple roles.

Just try to consider this again.

 

[shiv:]I have been pondering over this for the last several days and

as of now what comes to my mind is that the role of God in protecting

me from dangers, and guiding me through my life by providing me the

right Prerna and circumstances that make me progress in my evolution

towards perfection.
