Guest guest
Hi, I want to know if and how the speed of planets, either in direct motion or retrogression, make an impact on a native. Since I see no astrologer making use of this aspect, I assume this isn't too important. There's however a logic cell somewhere in my brain that says it should matter. A planet moves across the zodiac at various stages of speed. Before turning retro, it decelerates from its usual velocity, right down to a standstill. As an extreme example, if we take the chart of a chap who's born at the instant when a planet has come to this standstill before either turning direct or retro -- that point does get reached either way, after all -- and make predictions on the planet's beneficence based on the apparent direct motion of the planet, won't we be at peril of getting it wrong? Similarly, there are various velocities of retrograde planets and I'm sure the results vary accordingly. Why then shouldn't we be looking at the planetary travel speeds in charts with more interest?
