Guest guest
Hai Friends, Could any one please tell me about arudha lagna and also about the houses calculating from arudha lagna. I heard about that if we have any malefic planets in 3rd or 6th house, it would be more benificial.please clarify my doubt. Kumar
Guest guest
As I have read in the BPHS. And this like a test to as I am new to this and learning from the learned Jyothishas here in this group.. How far is the Lord of the house from its actual house. Count the number and from that planet/house count the number and put the Ax (x=1 to 11). Now there are ifs and buts (by this time you would be wondering what profession he is Ya SW eng). If the Asc lord is his house then the 10th house is the AL(Arudha Lagna of ASC). if you go though this for each house you will know the Arudhas of the houses. For a lord in the 4th house and also in the 7th house there is some exception. On the top of my head I don't remember. For the last house i.e, 12 the house Arudha lagna is the UL Upa pada Lagna.. As per Guru Sanjay Rath, each Arudha is the inside or maya of the respective houses. What it implicates and what does it say I have no idea, as I myself am trying to understand from this group and I still have to get Guru Sanjay Rath's 3 books... Experts can please comment on my understanding of Arudha Lagna's... Thanks Aunanda kumar_gh_2000 wrote: Hai Friends,Could any one please tell me about arudha lagna and also about the houses calculating from arudha lagna. Guest guest
Hi Kumar, Malefics in the 3rd from AL could, among other things, indicate a lack of younger siblings, ill-behaved person, growth in career by dishonorable means, brave, etc. Some might find these beneficial, some won't. Malefics in the 6th, an upachaya-cum-trik, being beneficial is doubtful. Mihira says malefics increase the significations of the house, though admittedly there's a little divurgence of opinion on this between Satyacharya and him. Just fyi, the 6th indicates litigations, debts, diseases, miseries, etc. Satyacharya says benefics in the 6th destroy the significations of the house, i.e. they help overcome debts, enemies and diseases. I think it's best if malefics aren't in 6th. And don't forget that they'd also give argala on the 3rd and 10th! Guest guest
Sorry there was a typo in the last line of my previous post. A malefic in the 6th would give argala not on the 3rd and 10th but the 4th and 9th. Guest guest
Hi ramapriya, Thank you very much for your answer. But still one more doubt on AL. I have seen so many interpretations. But none of them has considered this arudha lagna. Most of them considers Lagana chart, chandra lagna chart, Navamsa and dasamsa. Do you feel the need of AL while interpreting chart? Guest guest
Hi Ramapriya, YOu are right. I have read the following line from Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. That is why I posted the question. Thank you for the information. "Should malefics be in the 3rd and the 6th from Atma Karak, or from Arudh Lagn, or in Sahaj and Ari Bhava, one will become army chief." Guest guest
Dear Kumar and Ramapriya, Allow me a couple of words in regard to using Arudhas. Firstly, one must adopt Parashara's text to the status of our times else we may "see" too many army chiefs around ... In our modern era it can be translated into many different commanding and/or managerial positions depending on other factors in a chart. Secondly, I have been using (trying to ...) Arudhas for the last 18 month and find their added value to chart interpretation is such that I wouldn't do without them ... Beside Sanjay's books and articles you may find some interesting information in a small book called "Arudha System of Prediction" by C.S. Patel. After all it is a world of Maya that we live in, or ? Guest guest
HI Jey wiss, It is great to hear from you about using the arudha lagna.I have read some articles of sanjay rath but not about Arudha lagna. While using Arudha Lagna, are you considering other things or checking only the malefics in 3rd or 6th house. If we interpret the chart from the arudha lagna, what other points we have to consider? Can we interpret the chart from arudha lagna like as interpreting from our lagna? Guest guest
Dear rama, The compliment was genuine. you should throw in more questions in the ring- just makes me think. that's all. Wow to your using arudha padas. I'm still at a stage when i look at a horoscope - i just see stars - being honest to the core. I'm so hesitant using the arudha padas- Primarily because mine is in 11th house in pisces with ketu. That would mean that people perceive me religios - spiritual- or trying to gain something from the spiritual aspect of life- maybe working towards moksha.I''m just trying a metaphorical interpretation. I'm sure - 200% that people think of me as funloving partying kind who can't even tell salt from sugar. the very fact that I cook for the family makes people quite incredulous.I keep my religion and whatever little i can contribute to charity very private. So the concept of using arudha padas baffles me. maybe I have to apply myself a little more. before i forget- where in bangalore do you get guru Sanjay Rath's books also shri Pvr's ? They are so difficult to get in a place like delhi.I can always ask someone from Bang. to courier them to me. Even Chennai is okay.
