Om Namah Sivaya,

Dear Members,

I would like to put forth the rules given by Mrs. Mridula

Trivedic , author of famous book "Predicting Marriage" ,in the 1996

Annual number of Bangalore's Astrological Magazine .

She says that the direction of the spouse can be found by,

1. Direction indicated by the planet in the 7th house

2. Rasi / Navamsa obtained by adding the longitude of the 7th lord

and the logitude of Venus . Remember to expunge 360 if sum is

greater than 360.

3. The distance of Spouse will be,if the rasi/Navamsa obtained by

rule in 2

a. is fixed sign , near by city

b. is a dual sign , the same town or very near town

c. is a cardinal , from aq long distance

4. the sign occupied by Venus

5. the direction indicated by the 7th house from Moon sign

6. She further says that the direction is from the most influential

planet on the 7th house

The direction ruled by signs

Aries, Leo, Saggitarius ----> East

Taurus, Virgo, Capricon ----> South

Gemini, Libra, Acquarius ----> West

Cancer, Scorpio,Pisces ----> North

The directions ruled by Planets

Jupiter ----> North east

Mars ----> South

Sun ----> East

Moon ----> West

Mecury ----> North west

Venus ----> East south

Saturn ----> ???

??? ----> South West

Well , I have applied the above rules to the horoscopes in my

collection , but couldn't get consistent results .

Can anybody tell any other approach , probably in Jaimini way ?

remains,

Shanmukha.

P.S: I fear Sri P.V.R.Narasimha Rao is not happy with the

word "Jaimini Way" . I beg your pardon .

Vyam Vyasaadevaaya Namah

Dear Shanmukha,

The Naisargika Karakas are the givers. Hence see the 7th lord from Venus to

check where the spouse comes from.

See this lord in Rasi/Navamsa, and check the planets/sign joining.

I have corrected the planetary directions:

Sun ----> East

Jupiter ----> North east Mecury ----> North Moon ---->

North West Saturn ----> West Rahu ----> South West Mars

----> South

Venus ----> South East

This was given by Parasara... Jaimini was Vyasa's student, so he learnt it that way.

Best wishes, Visti.
