Guest guest
Respected Gurujis and learned members. Please find my endeavor for the lesson 2. hope to get your guidance always. Hare Krishna Nisha Try to define the role of God in your life. Since, I am still under the periphery of Maaya, so I could relate this answer only to the bhaav I could perceive. The Guru, the father, the mother, the siblings, the relatives, the friends, the enemies, the self, all living and non-living beings with all types of emotions in us, in nature, and with in all actions/ reactions/ perceptions we perform under this sun, we all have the Almighty, the supreme power i.e. The God in every part and in every second of our life. The Role of God in our life is like that infinite, incomparable, omnipresent, omnipotent and always spread limitless Sky showering on us everything. Now it is we who get under that small cloud of ignorance and Maaya and try to obstruct that blessing to reach us. Now this obstruction is sometimes Natural, like the cloud, because of our purva karmas and other times it is we who try to block the showerings with our umbrella. So, the Role of God is not limited or finite which could be defined in 26 alphabets. This is something which is experienced from heart and rare are those people who have the power of bhakti to get rid off the cloud of ignorance and maaya of umbrella to receive real emancipation. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? I don’t think anybody could do anything to come close to God when He is Omnipresent. Just we have to remove that Avidya and come above the Maaya. But again I don’t think everybody has got that prarabdha to attain that level otherwise this planet must have been running Satyuga till now. When we come to this earth, the Supreme frames us uniquely in different levels of Satwik, Rajas and Tamo Gunas. So, everyone has got his different work and services to deliver in this earth. But, The God gives us the option, get shackled in the Maaya or make your soul stronger than mind because the natural tendency of soul is to get into the Supreme while mind wish for the perceptions. To guide one’s soul and to purify oneself, obviously one media, The Guru is desired. But again, one gets the real Guru when and only when the God desires. So, in this regard, I happened to join the brilliant and dedicated group of SJVC which guided me to find my ishta devata and showed me the path towards dharma. Which statement is more relevant: (a) God is all, or (b) All is God In my opinion, ‘God is All’ is more and only relevant statement. In the statement ‘All is God’, our perspective gets limited to ‘All’ that we know about this world. Here, God depends on the existence of ‘All’ which is nowhere true. The God is the creator of All. It is who on which ‘All’ depends. ‘All’ is a limited peephole and the diameter of this peephole could vary but yet it is always constrained and under some boundary of vision or Gyaan. But God is imperceptible and limitless which cannot be tied up within any of our bodily senses. All is just a peephole part of God’s vicinity. ‘All’ is within the God. If All vanishes that does not mean end. If we say ‘All is God’, then we are bounding the God in our frames of our perceptions. But, if we say ‘God is All’ then we are subliming or amalgamating ‘All’ within a part of God. God contains All. God is beyond All. So, it is right to say ‘God is All’. How is the role of a Jyotish different from a priest? While doing my computer studies, we were taught two basic terms, the interpreter and the compiler. Both had the similar function of debugging a program so that it can be executed successfully except the fact that Interpreter would first read first line of the program, look any errors in it and if no bugs found then only jump to the second line of the program. While the compilers scan the whole program in one go, look for possible bugs and correct them for proper execution. Well here, I am not going to display computer abilities but I am relating the fact in my perspective that a priest is like an Interpreter and the jyotisha is like a compiler. Inspite of the fact that both of them work to debug our life and guide us to explore our souls to execute it to the supreme though they both have their own unique ways. Priests perform such functions mainly based on karma-kaands and rituals focusing on our present birth and present condition and our bodily existence. While the jyotishas compile our souls in a collective effort of all our previous karmas, our present karmas and guide us why we are here on the earth. Jyotishas show us the way by purifying us towards the satwik gunas so that our life program gets successfully compiled to achieve self-realization. Jyotisha is like a catalyst to guide the Atman to the God thus carrying out God’s will and Atman’s ultimate desire.
