Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, I have not yet analyzed Mahatma Gandhi's chart but did find some clues yesterday in my D-20. My AK saturn and exalted mercury are conjunct in Virgo and aspect Sagittarius the fifth from my D-20 lagna.I guess that was the strongest association between the AK and my ishtha as you noted. I have mars in my A5 in the sign aries and its aspected by Mercury and Venus (Lakshmi and Vishnu) from Aqu and Jupiter (Narayan) from Leo. Karen raised the same point in an earlier post and I gave the same combination as above to justify my chanting the Maha Manthra. Do you see anything that I could have missed or misinterpreted? Now regarding the combination for Astrology, interestingly I have the following 1) AK conjunct the 11th Lord in my 6th house. 2) 8th and 12th Lords Venus and Mercury conjunct in the 5th.They are also the 1st and ninth lords. 3)They are aspected by Jupiter from the 11th. 4) My second lord Mars aspects the 2nd house from the 7th and he in turn is aspected by Jupiter,Venus and Mercury. Now how do I figure out the command of my Ishta? Though I do have the combinations for Jyotisha, does the combination also indicate my calling? I will greatly appreciate any insight that you may have regarding the same. Hare Krishna Sudharsan Visti Larsen wrote: Vyam Vyasaadevaaya Namah Dear Krithi, Theres much truth in your statements. There is more to this, and i will take the advice of my guru in not going too deep, otherwise we may get confused quickly. Some basics of Vimsamsa. 2nd house indicates Kula(family) Devata. 4th house indicates Grama/Sthana(town) Devata. 5th house/lord will indicate ones favorite deity. But first and foremost, see the AK and Istha Devata, and note them down before looking at the chart. You will see spiritual connections between these planets in the chart. Example: My Istha Devata is Mercury, 3rd drekkana: Sri Krishna. Mercury is joined with 5th(divine vision) and 2nd(vaak) lord Jupiter(Astrology), in the 12th(meditation and foreign lands). Furthermore Mercury is itself 8th and 11th lord. You will notice that the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th houses are kendra to each other. Infact these are called the Panaphara and are necessary for speaking(2), seeing(5), being(8), and learning(11) about spirituality and rebirth(8th) respectively. Hence by doing astrology, i am doing the work of my Istha Devata.. Jagannath Krishna. So check the AK and Istha Devatas in the chart. There will be very important connections with the persons life. Usually theres a connection between AK & 11th house in astrologers charts. Even though the native initially prays the deityof other planets which occupy/aspects the 12th fromkarakamsa, finally she/he stops with the deityindicated by the lord of 12th from karakamsa. In my case,Karakamsa being Aquaris and Sani beingthe lord of Karakamsa and its 12th house, placed inKarakamsa with Kethu.12th from karakamsa(capricon) hasMoon,Ven and Sun. Jupiter & Raghu has Rasi Dristi on12th from karakamsa and Neecha Mangal has Graha Dristion 12th from karakamsa. Initially i prayed Sri Subramaniya ,then LordGanesh and then Divine mother. Finally i stopped withSri Lakshmi Hayagriva(a form of Sri Maha Vishnu).NowRegularly i say Sri Hayagriva's Sthothrams and SriDhakshinamoorthy's Astagam (may be due to Jupiter rasiaspect on 12th from karakamsa & Raghu's Rasi Aspect on12th from Karakamsa where Sun is also placed ). Though i pray all the gods right now,i love to praySri Hayagriva. So ,if time permits, pls provide all the hidden rulesfor identifying the Ista Devata and pls guide us howto use those. After seeing ur reply i checked my A5 in Rasi whichis combined with AL and has Sani and Surya in it.iunderstood that Sani(my AK) makes me to pray a form ofSri Vishne(Sri Hayagriva) and Surya makes me to PraySri Dakshinamoorthy.Ur statement is 100 % correct andPls explain me how to use Vimsamsa for identifyingIsta devata.HARE RAMA KRISHNA !Thanks And Regards,Krithi--- Sudharsan Srinivasan <sudhar108 > wrote:> > Hare Rama Krishna> Jaya Jagannatha> Dear Visti,> I need some help with the concept of Ishta Devata.
