I have some more doubts. 1) Recently I came across to know that "Venus' exaltation sign is Pisces as well as Inimical Sign". Is it because of their(Jupiter/Venus) opposing Bhavas or due to their opposing GURUTVA. 2) Also Rahu's own house is Virgo and Ketu's own house is Sagittarius. In some texts there is no mention of that. kindly explain. with regards, vasu --- Visti Larsen <vlarsen wrote: > Vyam VedaVyasaaya Namah > > -- > > Dear Vasu, > http://sjvcusa.org/articles/principles-2.htm > Best wishes, Visti. > - > rao vasudevadk > sjvc > Saturday, July 27, 2002 11:51 AM > [sjvc] Re: doubts etc. > > > > > I have come across one question frequently "is it > is > possible to identify, whether the chart relates to > male or female one". Guest guest
Vyam VedaVyasaaya Namah Dear Vasu, 1. There is a specific way of understanding the enimical relations of any house. the Upachaya(3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th) and 7th from the Moolatrikona Rasi of a Graha, are the grahas enimical signs. This is with exclussion of the Exaltation and own signs offcourse. For Venus, Sag is 3rd house and Pisces is the 6th. Hence Venus is enimical towards Jupiter, the lord of these rasis. However as Venus becomes Exalted in Pisces, the relationship between Jup and Venus is neutral. 2. There is also a specific way of understanding the Ucche, Moolatrikona and Swakshetra Rasi's of each graha. The Ucche Rasi, is the place of greatest enjoyment for the rasi. The Moolatrikona Rasi, is the place of duty and work... the office of the graha. The Swakshetra Rasi, is the home of the Graha, i.e. the place where it feels comfortable. Lets try with some grahas which we are clear on. Moon is the mother. a) Why does she enjoy being in the natural 2nd(taurus)? b) Why is Taurus also its place of duty/office? c) Why is the natural 4th(Cancer) its most comfortable place? First try with these simple questions, then we can explain the rest. Guest guest
SRI RAMA RAMA RAMAETI -------------------------- PRANAMS TO GURUJIS, Dear Vistiji, Pranams. Your reply is realyy an eye-opener for me and thank you for the same. Now you have really shown me the direction. I am presenting my answers for your simple questions. 1. The second house of the natural zodiac stands apart from other things for family, speech etc. Mother is always "Mother" who spends her life time for upbringing of her children right from birth. The passion, patience and care that she takes, speaks volumes and MOON's splendid cool and calm luminance is definitely a parallel to mother in the natural zodiac. 2. It's also a place where mother does her duty of shaping/upbringing of children in her family in a disciplined/suitable traditional way to make their children ideal who must always remember "MATRU DEVO BHAVA" FOLLOWED BY "PITRU DEVO BHAVA" AND "ACHARYA DEVO BHAVA". Her role as first Guru in the early days of the baby to make learn things(basic education) is matched to her official duties. 3. "All well that ends well" so the saying goes. Naturally mother feels unsurmountable happiness in her family(4th house of natural zodiac) when children get her primary education in a family like atmosphere driven by the ideals, care, warmth nurtured by the mother in her house(2nd house of natural zodiac) Can I conclude that children(5th place)are the property(crude word) (2nd house) for mother(4th place)being in 2nd from 4th and also that children(5th place) drain out their mother(4th place) by being placed in 12th place to 4th place. I have given a brief understanding(not an exhaustive one since I lack expression) about my understanding the basic principles for your questions. I hope, I understood correctly. with regards, vasu. -- In sjvc, "Visti Larsen" <vlarsen@h...> wrote: > Vyam VedaVyasaaya Namah > > - ------------- > > Dear Vasu, > > 1. Guest guest
Vyam VedaVyasaaya Namah Dear Vasu, This was a lovely mail to recieve, showing that you have caught on quite well. Comments bellow. 1. The second house of the natural zodiac stands apart from other things for family, speech etc. Mother is always "Mother" who spends her life time for upbringing of her children right from birth. The passion, patience and care that she takes, speaks volumes and MOON's splendid cool and calm luminance is definitely a parallel to mother in the natural zodiac.2. Visti: You are right. The knowledge you speek of will also come to light when we go deeper into mantras. The exact temr is: The Mother FEEDS the native. The lagna being the 12th from the 2nd house, shows the mother giving to the lagna. 3. "All well that ends well" so the saying goes. Naturally mother feels unsurmountable happiness in her family(4th house of natural zodiac) when children get her primary education in a family like atmosphere driven by the ideals, care, warmth nurtured by the mother in her house(2nd house of natural zodiac) Visti: The mother finds herself comfortable in the home. Can I conclude that children(5th place)are the property(crude word)(2nd house) for mother(4th place)being in 2nd from 4th and also that children(5th place) drain out their mother(4th place) by being placed in 12th place to 4th place. Visti: 2nd house isn't what we own but what sustains us, as. The 5th from lagna shows your children, not the mothers. You are the 10th(profession/work) from the 4th(mother) hence you become your mothers job, and thats part of the reason she carries you for 9 months. I have given a brief understanding(not an exhaustive one since I lack expression) about my understanding the basic principles for your questions. I hope, I understood correctly. Visti: Lets try one more, and then proceed to the nodes: Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, Moolatrikona in Sag and Swakshetra in Pisces.. go! Good attempt, Best wishes, Visti. Guest guest
SRI RAMA RAMA RAMAETI ------------------------ PRANAMS TO GURUJIS Dear Vistiji, Pranams. Here is my answer to the next part. "BRIHASPATI", the Devaguru is a noble, aged, learned man, a brahman has a house(Pisces), a play ground(Cancer) and an administrative office(Sagittarius) assigned to him in the Natural Zodiac. The Devaguru is calm, cool, well composed attending his daily rituals in his home PISCES, always make others look for Salvation from Karma, resulting in the ultimate goal of achieving "GNANA" leaving behind the clutches of hustle and tustle of life. He makes us pious, spiritual by making us learn perform PUJAS, with chanting of Mantras, with yogic concentration as a Brahman to achieve the goal in his own traditional and pre-defined ways. Contrary to what appeared to be an aged, noble and learned man with traditional duties in his home of Pisces, he becomes a child enjoying like a playboy in the 4th house of natural zodiac, i.e.CANCER, the home of serene, cool and motherly moon, which is the exaltation sign of Jupiter. He surprises his subjects, within his powers, to greater heights of happiness. Again, contradicting the above two roles of Brahman and playboy, he becomes seriously confined to his adminstrative duties by being bold, righteous and uncompromising administrator in his office, i.e. Moolatrikona, SAGITTARIUS, the 9th house of natural Zodiac, a fiery sign. He confines to a fiery role of administering DHARMA in a fatherly way by punishing wherever necessary and lending his helping hand whenever warranted. "OM GURUBHYO NAMAH" I hope, I am clear and awaiting your further questions. Please correct me. With regards, vasu. Health - Feel better, live better http://health. Guest guest
Vyam VedaVyasaaya Namah Dear Vasu, Good work. Guru enjoys watching his cows, and learning(4th is vidya). Gurus job is to teach dharma, hence 9th. Guru feels at home with the maharishis in the 12th. Now for Ketu. Ketu finds his greatest enjoyment in the dome of religion with focus on the pure spirituality. Ketu's job is to give moksha. Ketu feels at home among the mystics and the dead. Try assigning houses to the same. Guest guest
SRI RAMA RAMA RAMAETI ------------------------ PRANAMS TO GURUJIS, Dear Vistiji, Pranams. You have now really fixed me. But I try. Q.1. Ketu finds his greatest enjoyment in the dome of religion with focus on the pure spirituality. Is it Sagittarius. Q.2. Ketu's job is to give moksha. I think it is Aquarius. Q.3. Ketu feels at home among the mystics and the dead. It's Scorpio. Please correct me. Recently I came across a sloka which I am copying below. "ketho svabhavanam meenatul˜mitrasya mandiram kumbhakeetaitucar˜þi moolkonou dhanumrughou" The translation went like this :"For Kethu, Pisces is own house, Libra is friendly, Aquarius is own house, Scorpio is the place of exaltation and Sagittarius and Capricorn are Moolatrikona places." Can we take it for granted the above definition or are there any more in depth meanings in the above sloka. kindly clarify. Excuse me for taking liberty to refer that is not within our home. I am not disputing our school's thoughts. With regards, vasu.
