Dear Gurus,

Pranam,

What is the significace between the difference between 120 years

given by Vimsottari dasa v/s 144 years given by Narayan Dasa.

What is the punar ayus of a human 120 or 144.

I beleive only Lord Krishna lived upto 144 years whereas the punar

ayus for humans is 120 years ?

What happens in the 24 years difference (i.e 144 - 120) ?

I have not yet heard of any human living upto 120 years in Kali yuga,

yes people living over 100 years yes but not 120 maybe in the Vedic

Era humans would live upto 120 years but not in Kali yuga ?

I would be greatful if you could enlighten me.

Thanking you,

Cheers !!!

Ash

Dear Ash,

This was my question too that I posted in the vedic astrology group, albeit in

little detail. My hunch is that Narayana Dasa assigns 12 years for each sign

and hence the purnayus would be 144 12X12. Since Iam a beginner I do not have

anything else to add in terms of rules. But when you calculate Narayana Dasa it

definitely fits 144 yrs. I received a reply from Visti that 144 should be

chosen. I tried dasa compression of 120 as well as 144 in Narayana Dasa and

found that 144 years assumption gives very accurate results. I tried that using

the excel sheetdownloaded from SJVC.

Would wait to hear the Gurus comments on the same.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya

Dear Ash,

In kali the Param Ayus is 120 years, dwapara should be 240 years, treta

should be 360 years and Satya should be 480 years. I wonder if my thinking

is right. I believe during this period the atma has severed from its bondage

of the Mana and is passing through various stages of Narka, Tala and Loka (7

each i.e. 21 steps).

With best wishes
