Guest guest
Namaste Sanjayji in his book "Jamini Upadesha Sutra" while explaning the calculation of Arudha padas has explained that the planet which is the strongest by aspect should be taken as the lord of the house when signs Aquarius and Scorpio is in quesiton. Now, taking the concept---Aquarius has two lords Saturn and Rahu. Saturn is in Capricon & is aspected(Rashi Drishti) by Leo,Scorpio and Taurus. There are two planets in Leo viz. Rahu and Mars and no planets in other sign. Hence the no. of Planets aspecting is 2. Rahu is in Leo and it is aspected by Libra, Capricon, Aries. There are two planets in Capricon viz. Saturn and Jupiter & one in Aries i.e. Venus. Hence the no.of Planets aspecting Rahu is 3. By the above logic Rahu becomes much stronger than Saturn as he receives aspect from 3 planets rather than Saturn which receives 2. Hence, Rahu should be the contender for calculating Darapada. Kindly throw light on how Saturn becomes the planet for calculating Darapada. Partnerships are seen from the Darapada(A7). Lets calculate the Darapada, which is the Arudha Pada of the 7th house. Aqua is the 7th house and has two lords; Rahu and Saturn. In such a case we should calculate the Arudhas for both grahas, and then choose the stronger Arudha Pada, of the two. Rahu: Rahu is in the 7th from Aqua, hence counting 7 signs from Rahu we get Aqua again, however Parasara states that the Arudhas cannot fall in the 1st or 7th from the relative Rasi, and instead we should count 10 signs from the place where the Arudha falls. Counting 10 signs from Aqua, we get Scorpio, which is unoccupied. Saturn: Saturn is in the 12th from Aqua, and counting 12 signs from Saturn, we get Sag. Sag is occupied by Moon, which makes it stronger than the unoccupied Scorpio.
