Here is my attempt to answer Lesson Five 1- In your chart or any chart explain how a lagna sign's characteristics and planes connect with that Lagna sign influence the native's personality and health. 1- In my chart I have Capricorn rising. The Sun is in 2nd house in Aquarius, the Moon is in the 5th house in Taurus, Mars is in he 12th house in Sagittarius, Mercury is in the 2nd house in Aquarius, Jupiter is in the 4th house in Aries, Venus is in the 2nd house in Aquarius, Saturn is inthe 4th house in Aries, Rahu is in the 9th house in Virgo and Ketu is in the 3rd house in Pisces. Saturn is lord of the lst house and is in the 4th, Saturn is lord of the 2nd house and is in the 4th, Jupiter is lord of the 3rd house and is in the 4th, Mars is lord of the 5th house and is in the 2nd, Mercury is lord of the 6th house and is in the 2nd, Moon is lord of the 7th house and is in the 5th, Sun is lord of the 8th house and is in the 2nd, Mercury is lord of the 9th house and is in the 2nd, Venus is lord of the 10th house and is in the 2nd, Mars is lord of the 11th house and is in the 12th and Jupiter is lord of the 12th house and is in the 4th. -The Sun in Aquarius, Mercury in Aquarius, Venus in Aquarius, has blessed my life overall to some degree specially the spiritual aspect. I am very religious and respect the occult. Aquarius in the 2nd also helps the economic world. My 'treasure house' will be filled with collection objects--antique cars, coin collections. Aries in the 4th house of 'inner hearth' makes me explore and move around and get the routine matters accomplished so that something more interesting can be explore. Taurus in the 5th house is considered fortunate for progeny. I am blessed with children of good manners and learning. Two of my children are Yoga Teachers and the oldest is an accomplished classical violin player. Virgo in the 9th I am strong willed, My spiritual awakening occured under Virgo. During the period I started my spiritual process. I got diksha initiation under the direction of my Guru, Sri Hanuman. Moon is in the 5th. Good luck at the investment business, My moon is exalted and is Atmakaraka. This placement is very good, blessed with general happiness from having received all the necessities of life. Moon in the 5th stands for promising children. Health is generally good, pain in the legs and feet. Acceptance of the truth and discard of the false are my plus points. Sun conjoins Venus and is in the 2nd. Gets wealth and monetary gain. Mars is in Sagitarius in the 12th. Mars externalizes inherent tendencies. The 12 house brings out the past karma forces and future possibilities and is good for getting devine pleasure in spirituality. Trouble with throat and ears, left eye is under danger of injury. Mercury is in 2nd. This placement promotes communication and give many friends. The Second house bestows learning command and language. Good for gaining wealth in general from business. I am vice president of an Insurance Company--commission agent. Jupiter is in 4th. Jupiter is the indicator -karaka- of fortune, children and body. Jupiter in the 4th house provides for a good family, happy surrounding with nice house, excellent cars and respectable means of livehood. Spiritually inclined respecting the saints and seers. Venus in the 2nd in Aquarius- Sharp and religious mind, devoted to religious preceptors and greatful. Aquarius is a very philosophical sign. Successful in Astrology. Saturn is in Aries- Industrious, ambitious, trouble with the partner due to his infidelity. Rahu is in Virgo in the 9- Spiritual and occult interest. The nodes of the Moon have supreme importance and spiritual evolution, preparing me to receive the influence of the divine. Ketu is in Piscies in the 9th- Good in the field of religion, ethics and higher education. Relationship with the Gurus could take a turn for the better. 2-Explain the reason for the exaltation and ownership signs of all the planets- Sun is the ruler of the zodiac together with the Moon. These two planets gets half each. The zodiac is divided into 12 equal parts - signs- each of 30 degrees. Sun-Leo, Moon, Cancer, Mars, Aries and Scorpio, Mercury, Virgo and Gemini, Jupiter, Sagittarius and Pisces, Venus, Libra and Taurus, Saturn. Aquarius and Capricorn, Rahu, Virgo and Ketu, Pisces. Exaltation- Sun is exalter in Aries- Sign of Mars and navel center or solar plexus, Moon in Taurus, the sign of Venus. The moon's connection with the heart is well-known. Mars in Capricorn. the sign of Saturn and root center. Mercury is exalter in Virgo, its own sign and the throat chakra, the place of speach. Jupiter is exalter in Cancer the sign of the Moon and the third eye. It shows the spiritual side of Jupiter and its function as the Guru or guide. Venus is exalted in Pisces the sign of Jupiter and the sex center. This explain the connection of Venus with sex. Saturn is exalted in Libra, the sign of Venus and the heart. Saturn represents the principle of justice and order. Rahu is exalted in Taurus, represents the illusion power of unfulfilled desires. Ketu is exalted in Scorpio. Represents the illusion powers of our fears and attachments to what we has accomplished in life. 3- Take the dual Rasis owned by the non-luminious planets and compare the characteristics of these two Rasis... Dual Rasis are Gemini and Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Find out how the lordship get altered.. Favorable-- Flexible, adaptable, balanced between the moving and the stationary. Unfavorable- Fickle, up and downs, divided, inconsistent, full of contradictions. Dual Rasis repesent Vishnu, movable rasis, Brahma, fixed represents Siva.
