Sun is the the dominant planet. It is so because Sun

is the soul (Atma), the cause of all that exists.(BPHS

vol 1 page 17). Sun represents one of the Parmatmamsa

expressions of Vishnu. It is vital to study the Sun

(hence Atma, self) of native from the condition and

function of the Sun in the birth chart. If the Sun is

strong in horoscope then native will have a matured

Atma and will make furthe spirtitual progress towards

ultimate purpose of life – Moksha – or assimilation in

that Supreme.
