Guest guest
HARE RAMA KRISHNA OM GURAVE NAMAH Dear Visti, When u meant that Sun should not be considered as a malefic, is it due to the karaka of sun for spirituality(Atma) that u excluded him from the malefic sarpa yoga. This means that even Ketu can be excluded (moksha karak). This leaves with only saturn, mars and rahu as malefics for sarpa yoga and they should be in kendras. Is my understanding right?(of course - no benefics influencing them). Also, can u give the reason for exalted rahu in kendra in sarpa yoga can give rise to intellectual pursuits? Rahu is the karak for technical inclinations (maya - the material world and its contraptions). But, will not the exaltation of rahu lead the person more to a diabolical nature if he is in kendras from the lagna? Shouldn't we look for exalted Rahu's placement in 5th/9th/3rd for intellectual pursuits? Your guidance will be appreciated. Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah --------------------- Dear Sriram, Sun will not do ill dharma, as it is the significator of Dharma itself. Actually Ketu should be considered a malefic for these matters, as it cuts the head of the person, and makes them a blind follower of some belief. This comes under such people as terrorists, and other fanatics. And yes they should be in Kendra to the Lagna. Any benefics in Kendra will attempt to break the Sarpa Yoga. The Paka Lagna and its lord should also not be in Kendra, as then the person will perform actions that lead them deeper into the Sarpa. Gemini is an intellectual sign. When exalted here it promotes higher learning and intellectual persuits. Such a person may have a highstanding formal education, maybe even in a foreign school. This is because Rahu becomes less interested in the Material and starts searching for the Amrita. Being a Demon it however doesn't deserve this, and if Jupiter is in the whereabouts, it will cut of the head of the demon. Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah ------------ Dear Dasgupta, Ketu doesn't get exalted in Scorpio, but rahu does get some exaltation in Taurus. The placement in Taurus is more materialistic, and will give more focus on money rather than knowledge. Rahus placement in taurus makes the person reap all kinds of fruits to stay alive. Guest guest
dear visti, my hospital birth record shows BT as `4.3 pm' and my original kundali was prepared by some astrologer in calcutta taking time as 4h 3m pm. he used some other ayamansa where jup as placed in 11th house. when i corresponded with you about 2 years back - i was really worried that nothing was matching. later when i started learning BT rectification, i rectified my BT based on children, siblings, parents and finally by kunda placement. that is how i got the BT as 4h 35m 10s pm. last year sometimes i also posted my rectification analysis at varahamihira list on Sanjayji's instruction. i have noticed that now-with this BT events generally matches. if you like to see, i can send you my rectification analysis at your private id. i am sorry that i wrongly wrote ketu gets exaulted at scorpio. it is also not clear "rahu does get some exaltation in Taurus". will you kindly elaborate this more? though lesson#4 of sjvc states that rahu gets exualted at gemini - i read in many postings earlier that it gets equally exaulted in taurus also. but i do not understand the difference of its exaultation in gemini and taurus. regards, dasgupta - Visti Larsen sjvc Sunday, May 05, 2002 5:26 PM Re: [sjvc] KSY - To Visti Vyam Vysadevaya Namah ------------ Dear Dasgupta, Ketu doesn't get exalted in Scorpio, but rahu does get some exaltation in Taurus.
