Sat ® is in leo (5H) and aspecting ketu in libra. I was trying to say that ketu in 7th from Lagna(just this condition alone) cannot lead to seperation. In your brothers case , i think it happened in Rahu mahadasa , ketu bukthi. Rahu, Ketu causes bandana yoga on the 2nd from UL . Rahu/Ketu is in 1/7 navamsa axis.
