Guest guest
Om Namo Naraayanaya ----------------------------- Dear Ashwin, The Lagna lord will always protect the native, no matter the Moolatrikona sign. Instead of seeing whether a grahas lordship will give good or bad effects, try to figure out what is the grahas function.. i.e. what is it supposed todo? 7th lord will determine all the fortune for the 7th house. If the 7th lord is Mars, then this fortune will be saught through alot of passion, maybe agression and at worst violence.. all depending on Mars' position/influence. Hence you can allready determine the personality of the spouse. Now do the same with lagna. Say Lagna was lorded by Mercury, then the person is quite talkative by nature, depending on other grahas influencing Lagna itself. So: 1. What is the graha's function? - Lordship. 2. How will it do it? - Natural Karakatwa. Best wishes, Visti. - Ashwin Hirani sjvc Saturday, April 27, 2002 10:48 AM [sjvc] Functional Benefic Dear Mr. Dasgupta, In the 2nd Meeting at Mumbai we had discussed about Functional Benefic and Malefic. Now, if i have got it right.... "If the Mooltrikona sign for an ascendant does not fall in a malefic house (3,6,8,11,12) and lords either a kendra(1,4,7,10) or trikona(1,5,9) then it is considered as Functional Benefic for that particular Ascendant." (Guru's/Senior Members Kindly Correct me if i am wrong ) I have listed below in the table the MoolTrikona of every Planet along with it's Degree. (Guru's/Senior Members Kindly Correct me if i am wrong ) No. Planet Own Sign Mool-Trikona 1 Sun Leo Leo (0o – 20o) 2 Moon Cancer Taurus (4o – 20o) 3 Mars Aries, Scorpio Aries (0o – 12o) 4 Rahu Virgo Acquarius 5 Jupiter Sagittarius, Pisces Sagittarius (0o – 10o) 6 Saturn Capricon, Acquarius Acquarius (0o – 20o) 7 Mercury Gemini, Virgo Virgo (16o – 20o) 8 Ketu Pisces Leo 9 Venus Taurus, Libra Libra ( 0o – 15o ) Kindly guide me if my logic/concept is correct. Then i will proceed ahead to list them and put it in a Table like above. Guru's/ Senior Members kindly Guide me. I also look forward for reply from Mr.Shailesh. Guest guest
dear ashwin, in general i look at it like this, 1. if the houses, a planet lords are both benefic - the planet is benefic 2. if the houses, a planet lords are both malefic - the planet is malefic 3. if the one of the houses, a planet lords is benefic and the other is benefic - the planet is just normal 4. lagna lord is always benefic may be-if one of the houses the planet lords, happens to be its MT then the nature is strenghtened. but the effects are to be judged in view of the total chart-no fixed rule can be set. dasgupta - Ashwin Hirani sjvc Saturday, April 27, 2002 2:18 PM [sjvc] Functional Benefic Dear Mr. Dasgupta, In the 2nd Meeting at Mumbai we had discussed about Functional Benefic and Malefic.
