Guest guest
On Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Namaste, Regarding the beginning of the new Jyotish year...there are two schools I have heard for the starting point: 1. Surya-Chandra conjunction in Pisces ( for Cental portion of the USA) this occurs today 12 of April at 12:19 CST) 2. Surya's transit into Aries , 13 of April at 18:24 CST for Middle states of America) Why of this importance? we figure out who the year lord will be Varsheshwara.... and what positon this Graha has in the chart. Thoughts and guidence on the proper selection is appreciated. ! Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah ------------------------- Dear Frank, Jyotish year? Anyway the new LUNAR year, using the Ananta(after Krishna Paksha) Approach, which is used by the chinese and the current indian population, is by seeing the New Moon. Try the Suklanta(after Sukla Paksha) approach, which was the tradition that Varahamihira belonged to. This is done from the Full Moon. Best wishes, Visti. - Frank in Austin sjvc Friday, April 12, 2002 6:19 PM [sjvc] Calculating the start of the new year On Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Namaste, Regarding the beginning of the new Jyotish year...there are two schools I have heard for the starting point: 1.
