SIGNIFICATIONS OF THE 1 st HOUSE: (Tanu )

Indications of Tanu Bhava Mahanshi Parashar replies physique, appearance,

intellect (or the organ of intelligence, i. e. brain), complexion of the body,

vigour, weakness, happiness, grief, and innate nature are all to be guessed

through the ascending Rashi.

Energetic, impulsive; enthusiastic, courageous, outspoken, enterprising and

able; prompt to react and brave, quirk and rational decision-making although

cool, self-reliant ambitious and confident; independent and reacts to

restrictions or interference, emotional and generous; zealous and ascribing to

groups; prone accidents and errors due if impulse; tendency to dominate (BHPS)

If Lagn's lord is in Karm Bhava, the native will be endowed with paternal

happiness, royal honour (or patronage), fame among men and will doubtlessly

have self-earned wealth, the native is honourable, famous, self-made, blessed

by his parents and Shri Ganesh, ambitious and prosperous. (BPHS, p192)

I. Lords

Lord 2 in 11 Bhava. If second lord in 11th house: friends, telecommunications,

entertainment, advisor, social service, finance and etc. (Sanjay Rath. Crux of

Vedic astrology, p84.)

Note: ... will undergo miseries due to ill-health during childhood and with the

march of time he will be endowed with health throughout. (BPHS, p195)

Lord 3 in 9 Bhava. The 3d house deals with the part of intelligence whereby

personal skills are developed and hence is called an Upachaya (house of

growth). As indicated, Rahu gives skills for bombs and poisons. (Sanjay Rath.

Crux of Vedic astrology, p84.)

.... will lack paternal bliss, will make fortunes through wife and will enjoy

progenic and other pleaser.

note: one will unendingly feel miserable ... his father will be a contemptible person (BPHS, p197)

Lord 4 in 6 Bhava

be devoid of maternal happiness, be given to anger, be a thief and a conjurer (

or magician), be independent in action and be ill-disposed

note: ... he will not be well-disposed toward his mother ... (BPHS, p200)

Lord 5 in 10 Bhava

will enjoy a Rajayoga and various pleasure, and be very famous (BPHS, p207)

note: this one position with sterling qualities will equal many Rajayoga. (Sy in neutral house)

Lord 6 in 9 Bhava

will trade in wood and stones (poison) and will have fluctuating professional fortunes.

note: ... further cause ups and downs in one's livelihood. (BPHS, p211)

Lord 7 in 11 Bhava

will gain wealth through his wife, be endowed with less happiness from sons,

etc. and will have daughters.

note: ... is a possibility of the native losing his children to his grief. he

will obtain more daughters. his own son will cause him no happiness. living son

also seems to be very remote a probability. (BPHS, p216)

Lord 8 in 10 Bhava

will be devoid of paternal bliss, be a tale-bearer and be bereft of livelihood.

if there is an aspect in process from benefic, then these evils will not mature

- (in my chart I have aspect from Gu)

note: this placement will produce all kinds of miseries in livelihood, fortunes,

fame, properties and the like. (BPHS, p219)

Lord 9 in 12 Bhava

will incur loss of fortune, will always spend on auspicious acts and will become

poor on account of entertaining guests.

Note: ... in the modern context lavish parties will take this role. ... will

land in financial in financial difficulties on account of throwing parties and

the like. this position is not also auspicious for happiness of elder brothers

and sisters. (BPHS, p223)

Lord 10 in 11 Bhava

will be endowed with wealth, happiness and sons. will be virtuous, trustful and

always delighted.(BPHS, p229)

Lord 11 in 11 Bhava

will gain in all undertakings while his learning and happiness will be on the

increase day by day. (BPHS, p232)

Lord 12 in 12 Bhava

.... will only face heavy expenditure, will not have physical felicity, be

irritable and spiteful. (BPHS, p235)

II. Grahas in Rasi and Bhavas:

1. Rahu in 3d Bhava:

Rahu is mail in the and significator for brothers.

In 3th Bhava: he makes one proud, hater of brothers, of a stubborn disposition,

long-lived and wealthy.

2. Ch in Makara (Navamsa): (Fundamental of Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat. p81)

He will be short-limbed, fickle-minded, cruel, quick -footed, indulging in

sexual pleasure, not attractive in the eyes of women, of windy constitution,

and nick named by his enemies. He will risk in the 19th, 27th, 34th, 49th,

54th, or 68th of his life. (Fundamental of Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat.

p82)

If Ch is in Virgo (in Rashi chart) - he is slovenly, with very little wealth

and happiness, wise, religious-minded, hater of relatives, of helm and wind in

constitution, with many daughters and few son, of lovely face, learned,

long-lived, of sweet speech, intent on money, of peaceful end and taking

delight in other' prosperity. (Fundamental of Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat.

If the Amsa is Capricon or Aquarius, the effects are in order for Ma aspect -

miserable in spite of wealth, for Gu aspect - devoted to one's duty.

Ch In 6th Bhava: makes one short-lived, not intelligent, suffer from stomach

complaint, lazy, poor, have many enemies and humiliation. He will also curb his

brothers and other kinsmen.

3. Bu in Dhanu and In 9th Bhava:

Bu in 9th - honoured by kings, learned and wise advised.

Bu In 9th Bhava:

cause learning, wealth, good conduct, religious life, oratorical powers,

proficiency, courage, great enthusiasm and much corn. (p98)

4.Ke in Dhanu and in 3d Bhava:

Ke in 3d Bhava: causes predilection for sinful activities, unholy or

inauspicious things, loss of father and fortune, poverty, and vilification of

5.Sy in Makara and 10 Bhava:

I Sy in Capricorn - he will be vile, ignorant, a mean trader, poor, greedy in

interested n others' fortune.

Sy 10 Bhava - be blesses one with son, vehicles, praises, intelligence,

opulence, strength, and fame as well as status of a king or high official.

6.MA in Makara and In 10th Bhava:

Ma in 10th will: having many sons, plenty of wealth, be a king or his equal.

Ma In 10th Bhava: makes one a king, cruel, charitable, very intelligent, popular

and respected by the elite. (p97)

7.SA in Kumbha In 11th Bhava:

- will have liaison with other women, enjoy other's earnings, leader of a

village, town or army, will have weak eye-sight, be slovenly, of lasting wealth

and power and good eater. (Fundamental of Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat. p91)

Sa In 11th Bhava: makes one long-lived, of permanent wealth and income, healthy,

heroic, famous, lordly, and clever in science and Sastras. (p97)

8.Sk in Kumbha In 11th Bhava:

be attractive, curbed by women, and addicted to a wicked woman. (Fundamental of

Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat. p81)

Sk in 11th Bhava: makes one very rich, addicted to other women, enjoys of all

kinds of pleasures, intelligent, kind, and satisfied with large gains. (p100)

9.Gu in Meena In 12th Bhava: - governor of a province, king's minister or army-commander and rich.

Gu in 12th Bhava: he makes one hateful, of contemptible speech, bereft of

children, sinful, lazy and servant. He may have a defective limb and spend away

his wealth through religious acts or on the art of dancing. (p99)

III. Planetary Combinations (Fundamental of Astrology by M. Ramakrishna Bhat. p112):

SY and MA in 10: denote birth in a very noble family and great strength; in the

rest penury is the result.

Sk and Sa: have defective eye-sight or small eyes, improve his financial

position tremendously on account if his marriage with a young lady. Such person

also becomes good writing and painting.

IV. Dasha Periods:

1. Rahu period

Should Rahu be in his sign of exaltation, etc. there will be, during the Dasa of

Rahu, great happiness from acquisition of wealth, agricultural products etc.,

acquisition of conveyances with the help of friends and Government,

construction of a new house, birth of son (children), religious inclinations,

recognition from Government of foreign countries and gain of wealth, clothes

and etc.

.... if Rahu in 3d house (I have Rahu in 3rd house), there will be during his

Dasa all kinds of comforts by the beneficence of the Government, acquisition of

wealth through a foreign Government or sovereign and felicity at home. (BPHS,

p582)

Since 31.12.1999 till 24.11.2000 Ra-Sy. problems with health, but job is little

better, because Sun in 10th and in Dasamsa.

Since 24.11.2000 till 25.05.2002 - Ra-Ch. Aid from friends, happiness

increasing, problems with health.

Effect like of kingdom, respect of wealth, sound health, gains

of garments and ornaments, happiness from children, comforts of conveyance,

increase in house and landed property etc., will be derived, in the Antardasa

of the Moon in the Dasa of Rahu, if the Moon be in .... or in a friendly sign

aspected by benefic (I have Ch in friendly sign (Kanya) with Gu aspect) (BPHS,

p675)

Since 25.05.2002 till 13.06.2003 - Ra-Ma - improve success in job, may be better job position.

Effects like recovery of lost kingdom and lost of wealth,

property at home and increase in agricultural production, gain of wealth,

blessing by the household deity, happiness from children, enjoyment of food

etc., .... Mars in Kendra ...or in his sign of exaltation (Mangal 21:38:27

Makara Exalt 1.24). (BPHS, p676)

Guru Dasa

If the Guru in ... his own sign (my Gu in own sign), there will be during his

Dasa acquisition of kingdom, great felicity, recognition by Government,

acquisition of conveyances and clothes, devotion to deities and Brahmins,

happiness in respect of his wife and children and success in performance of

religious sacrifices (oblations).

Gu-Gu

Since 13.06.2003 till 31.07.2005 - Gu-Gu. Very good dasa for spiritual work, Job

will be better, but will have many expenditures, because in own sign, and will

be problems, because in 12th house. Gu in navamsha kundali is in 9 Bhava - it's

good place for Gu and Makara sign is neutral for him. It gives good results.

PS. Sorry for delay. I've just received the books from book seller (BPHS, Crux

of Vedic Astrology and Vedic Astrology, an Integrated Part) and have no enough

time to read it, unfortunately. I hope, I'm going to use those books just now,

but I'm still waiting for the last - Jaimini Upadesa Sutram. Bhagavat Gita I

always have.

Please give me comments and give me advice, in which order to study the new books.
