I am one of the silent members at the list. Kindly find below my attempt to the exercise.

Explanation:--------------Saturn is the owner of capricon and acquarius sign.

Saturn is in Lagna Kendra that means the fifth house sign is either capricon or

acquarius. If 5th sign is capricon then 4 th sign is saggitarius, hence 10 th

house sign will be Gemini and if 5 th sign is acquarius then 4th sign is

capricon and 10 th is Cancer. 10 th lord is neech that means in the first case

lord of Gemini Mercury is neech and in the second case lord of cancer Moon is

neech. If moon is neech then moon is in Scorpio. Further it is given "Jupiter

is transiting on the Janma Rasi at present". Right now jupiter in transit is in

Gemini. That means Moon is in Gemini. Hence the second option of moon in

scorpio is ruled out. Therefore the first option of Gemini in 10 th is correct

with moon in it. Hence 4 th house sign is Saggitarius, fifth is capricon and

hence Lagna is Virgo. 10 th Lord is mercury and mercury is debiliated in

pisces. Therefore 7 th house has mercury with pisces sign as lagna is virgo.

Its dispositor i.e. Pisces lord is Jupiter and 12 th house is Leo whose lord is

Sun. Hence sun and jupiter are in 12 th with sun having strength (Bal) being in

its own sign of Leo. In Virgo Lagna 8 th house is aries whose lord is Mars and

second house is Libra whose lord is Venus. Due to parivartan mars and venus

would exchange signs. So, venus is in 8th in the sign aries and 2 nd house has

mars in the sign Libra. Saturn as mentioned is in the Lagna that means Virgo.

Thus, the above chart is complete.

About Rahu / Ketu----------------Saturn is in lagna in Virgo. Satrun takes 30

years to come back into one sign and it takes 2 1/2 years to cross one sign

taking 1 month to cross one degree (approx.). Right now Saturn is in Taurus

which it will cross in July. Hence it would have been in Virgo somewhere

between 1980 to 1982 and 30 years back in 1950-1952. Sun comes in leo

generally between 15-16 th August and 15-16 th September every year. If we

check year 1980 - 82 and 1950-52 for the months the above combination does not

occur. The close proximity that i can find to the horoscope is in the year

1921, date 17 th August when 2 stalwarts Saturn and Jupiter are in Virgo and

Leo respectively as in the horoscope.

Another notable fact is that Mercury is debiliated and is in Pisces. A close

observation at the Ephemeris brings to the notice that mercury is debiliated

between march and april every year. It starts between march & april and keeps

on shifting towards february every year and before it can go ahead more into

february it becomes retrogate and again the next year it is in march end &

april. Thus, Sun would either be in Aquarius or in Pisces.

In the exercise Mercury is in Pisces but Sun is in Leo which is approximately

opposite to the Mercury and doesn't match the above observation. Hence the

Horoscope is hypothetical & Imaginary. Therefore, it is not possible to

ascertain where rahu and ketu are in the horoscope.

If we only take saturn and jupiter into consideration then the year would be

1921 and rahu would be in Libra(if taken Mean Rahu ; If true rahu then in Virgo

) and bang opposite will be ketu in Aries ( if taken Mean Ketu ; If True Ketu it

will be in Pisces ).

Respected Solaiji, The lessons are in very simple language and highly

informative. They are an asset to the person who wants to learn astrology. I

have taken printout of the lessons and kept all the four lessons for myself as

a book.

I would like to ask the gurus at the list to pardon me for not replying to the

lessons as i was too busy with job hunting. And thats why come only twice in a

week to check mails.

I am a beginner and learner in astrology. My knowledge is very basic,

elementary and at grass root level. Kindly correct me for any mistakes done in

the above interpretation.

So far only about 22 members had responded for Lesson 4. Two or three persons

had apologized privately, for their inability due to their other

commitments.Sufficient time has been given for the study. For 225 members 10%

response is very very low. I do not know where is the problem for the students.

Only those who are responding will be assessed and promoted to Varahamihira

class.

 

I mentioned many times that if the lessons and discussions are too heavy, please

inform us and give a feed back.

 

Now, in order to know the response of other members, I am give below an extract

taken from an astrological supplementary of a newspaper, in response to an

Indian reader's query.

 

" Poorvapunyasthanathipthy (5th house lord) Saturn is in Lagna Kendra.

Karmasthanathipathy (10th lord) is neecha (debilitated) and its dispositor is

placed along with the 12th lord, who is in strength. Jupiter is transiting on

the Janma Rasi at present. 2nd and 8th lords are having Samasaptaka

parivarthana (mutual exchange)." The native is having debt problem at present,

which is very clear from the chart.

 

1.Draw the chart based on the information given above.

2.Those who have attempted lesson 4 need not try this exercise. This is purely

meant to find out how many of the silent members are really interested in

learning.

3. As we are not spoon feeding, I request the members to think and reply for

this small and simple exercise.

4. Do not worry about the answer, just attempt with your own knowledge.

5. I need to get a response from about 200 members.

 

Rahu and Ketu position is not given here. But it is possible to plot without the

information and if possible try for the range of date of births.
