Guest guest
Lesson Two: Dear and respected teachers. Before giving the answer for this lesson, I would like to state the real joy it caused to my hearth, reading, studying and thinking of the whole subject contained in this lesson. It was to me as if I felt after this lesson, that Jyotish is not a simple science, it has a real soul, I mean, it is not an empty science that one can learn only by studying all the calculation and decorating the meaning for grahas and bhavas, NO! It has “something” more that makes the difference! And in learning this all together I think Jyotish will be of real value to both the Jyotisha and to whoever may contact him/her. I always felt something was missing in the common astrology I got in touch with. Now I realize what was missing on! After what I stated above, I shall now say that is difficult to me putting into words the feeling I have into my hearth regarding the whole subject; as material words can sometimes spoils the abstract and fine meaning that only the hearth may speak of. I will do my best to express myself: 1- Try to define the role of God in your life. mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt;font-weight:bold">GOD This name should arise Joy and fear in all human being. yes"> Joy for the possibility of belonging to Him in each cell of our body, in each vibration of our thought and in every deed we can act as humans. And fear in term of reverence, respect and watchfulness so that our whole life be a praise of gratitude for the possibility of recognize Him trough His Laws that are written in nature as the last manifestation of this Will. Since childhood, I soon discovered that life on earth had not much to offer; unless I chose a path that could send me toward the knowledge of the Will of God. And so I did. I decided then to select everything that had real meaning toward this direction from what could only cause material and short lasting pleasure. Since then I dedicate all my life in this direction. So, to me, God is all. Is the only reason for me to live on. He is in my mind in every step I make. Of course, as an imperfect human, I realize that many times all this become only attempts. But I guess that is the way. Learning thorough mistakes, which can bring lessons for further experience. yes"> 12.0pt;font-weight:bold">2- What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? yes"> In the past year – as well as the previous and present years - I tried to come closer through learning His Laws. I meditated over facts and effects in our daily life. I read books, which explained about it and tried to apply the knowledge to my life. 12.0pt;font-weight:bold">3- Which statement is more relevant: -18.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 53.4pt"> mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt;font-weight:bold">(a) font-weight:bold">God is all, or -18.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list 53.4pt"> mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt;font-weight:bold">(b) font-weight:bold">All is God 12.0pt"> Answer: God is God. All is the effect of God’s radiation. In this case I may consider that God is all. 4- The priest may help to conduct people through pre conceived rules, but the Jyotisha may guide the person to find the right path - with the knowledge of the person destiny and qualities, what makes this path in accordance to the particularities of each human being what may be seen from the astrological chart. 12.0pt;font-weight:bold">5-Make a list of all Sanskrit terms in this Lesson under different starting letter and prepare your personal dictionary of Jyotish/Sanskrit terminology. bold">Ananta – the serpent king bold">Atma – soul; the self; the conscious self bold">Avidyamaya – ignorance due to lack of knowledge bold">Gati – direction bold">Ishta – God bold">Jyoti - light bold">Jyotish – The light of the knowledge bold">Jyotisha – One who possess the light of this knowledge and puts it to use of Dharma bold">Manu – the man bold">Maya – material world bold">Paramatma – the supreme conscious self bold">Prakriti - the mind bold">Purusha – the supreme soul bold">Rajas Guna – creative force bold">Satarupa – the woman bold">The three Guna – satwa, rajas and tamas bold">Veda – knowledge - pure & unadulterated knowledge bold">Vidyamaya – the knowledge Respectfully Sandra Lucia 12.0pt;font-weight:bold">
