Q1. Using your own chart, identify the sign each planet is in,state if the

planet is in own sign , exaltation, detriment or mooltrikona. List the sign and

degree placements of each planet.

Q2. There are different characters of each planet is mentioned throug out the

lesson. Identify from your own chart , at least one character of each planet

from your rasi and navamsa and write how does it influences you during its dasa

or antardasa.

 

ANS.

 

KETU: born in ketu dasa.balance of ketu dasa at birth was only for 8 months.

As it afflicts lagnadhipati Venus, there was frequent sufferins from illnesses-

though minor , because the lagnadhipati is strong being situated in the own

house.

 

VENUS: venus dasa ran upto my age of 21 years. Venus signifies passion, worldly

wisdom. I was passoinate and emotional from my childhood. as venus is strong

being in his own house in rasi and in his friends house in aquarius in Navamsa,

it was a period of rise, as Venus is Lagnadhipati and the dasa of strong

lagnadhipati is the dasa of rise. Venus , the planet of worldly wisdom,is

aspected by 4th lord -the planet to give education -from another house of

education i.e. 2nd house. So, it was a period of rise in education in school

and in medical college. Please note that three Tamasic planets influence the

Lagnadhipati , which is

rajasic . But as ketu by association and rahu and saturn by aspect influence the

lagnadhipati, some amount of tamasic quality is there in my character- shyness,

lazyness, negligence etc.

 

SUN: Sun is badhaka for tula lagna . It is placed in a Dusthana with debilitated

mercury , aspected by exalted jupiter from 10th house and vargottama and maraka

mars from 3rd house. In Sun- mercury, suddenlyIturned to spiritual life. Sun is

the karaka of atma, aspected by devaguru Jupiter and mercury ,dharmadhipati.

But, the period of spiritual turning was through a tremendous mental anguish

due to the debilitation of mercury which is aspected by maraka mars. Mercury

signifies speech, and smell. Due to its debilitation and so much of affliction,

from this dasa-antardasa, I developed a disease of nose which took away the

sense of smell completely . This state of not being able to get smell of any

type persisted for long 12 years. But the aspect of Jupiter is the saving

grace, and after going through a long term treatment, I get back the smell to

some extent. The toxicity of the drugs , however, has given rise to another

disease-Diabetes mellitus. Mercury is the lord of navamsa lagna and is placed

in the 6th house in navamsa in enemy's house. So, it is also afflicted there.

 

MOON: Moon dasa was of tremendous sufferings physically. It is afflicted in

rasi by the association of maraka & malefic Mars , and in navamsa by the aspect

of mars. In this dasa, I suffered from hyperthyroidism- a disease of the

endocrine gland , the Thyroid. Series of attacks of bronchial asthma has

started in this dasa, making me incapacitated for days and weeks. Moon

signifies manas , and its affliction is the cause of mental agony that I

suffered from in the dasa of moon.

 

MARS: Mars the 7th lord of rasi and placed in the 7th house in navamsa is the

cause of my marriage. Association with 10th lord is the reason for my joining

in a service( Govt ) in the dasa of mars. In navamsa mars is with the royal

planet Sun, hence govt.service,In navamsa , mars is in the 7th house, the house

of pada-prapti. Had a nasal endoscopic surgery. " Mars is malefic because

he......... creates quarrels with others". In mars dasa, had experienced

troubles with the family members ,Mars- mercury to be precise. Wife had an

abortion during this period. All came in mars - mercury like an avalanche.

Affliction to merc. was described previously.

 

RAHU: Rahu is debilitated in navamsa. In rasi , he is placed in kutumbasthana

the 2nd house with retrograde but rajyoga karaka Saturn. Rahu causes separation

from the ares he affects. So, there is possibility in this dasa that I may get

separated from my near ones, from finance . But jupiter , which " provides

fortune , blessing , abundance " may save me from experiencing this

horror.Aspect of benefic Venus is also a saving grace.

 

JUPITER: Jupiter is exalted and placed in 10th house in Rasi , and in own house

in pisces in the 10th house in navamsa.This would be a period of happiness and

getting wisdom. As he is in the house of Karma , and aspects the 9th lord

mercury, some sort of teaching related to astrology may take prominence in my

activity. But being the lord of 3rd and 6th house , and afflicted by the maraka

mars from 3rd house, health problem may crop up.

 

Perhaps , I'll not live beyond Jupiter dasa.
