Namaste Solaiji,

 

Here is my attempt to answer lesson - 4. Please evaluate them and give your kind

suggestion to correct / improve them.

 

These notes are best in itself. Nowhere, I found such a beautiful and to-the

point explanation of planet's. Thanks for giving it to astrological community.

I'm attaching my chart in .jhd format. In my rasi chart, no planet is in

exaltation, mooltrikona, debilitation or own sign.

2. Planet's Characteristics

 

1. Jupiter: 9L Jupiter is in lagna, getting directional strength. Its

conjunction with mokshkaraka Ketu gives me knowledge of various spiritual books

and astrology. True to its Saatwik nature, it suggested me to leave

non-vegetarian food and always be truthful. As it is Brahmin (teacher, priest)

by caste, during its dasa, with Ketu (computers), it made a teacher in computer

institute for a total of 2 1/2 yrs.

Aspected by Saturn, it gives me the feeling of detachment.

 

However, in navamsa, it is conjunct with Rahu forming Guru-Chandala yoga in 5H

destroying poorva pooya balam. It may also show that it will show its results

after marriage w.r.t spouse or her family. Also, problem w.r.t children as

Jupiter is the natural signifactor of children.

 

As a 12L, Jupiter makes me spendthrift. It's very difficult for me to save money.

 

2. Ketu - As it is associated with Jupiter here, it gives its results according

to Jupiter. As a lord of 8H (house of occult knowledge), and with 9L Jupiter it

give me the knowledge of astrology. True to its body without head, it makes me

more emotional rather then taking decision from mind.

 

3. Mars - Lagna lord Mars in the house of speech. It makes me argumentative

(especially when the topic is related to God, Gita, Karma ... ). As this house

also rules food, true to its taamsic guna, it's Mars which gave me

non-vegetarian food (taamsic food).

 

4. Saturn - Saturn denotes misery and grief and its placement in 4h (ruling

general happiness) destroys overall happiness. It makes many emotional voids.

As 10L, it indiactes profession opportunities coming from west.

 

5. Rahu - Rahu in 7H gives passion for opposite sex, many affairs with outcaste

women. But, thanks to Jupiter, it never happened as its aspect keeps it under

control. Although, for some time, it gave me the company of such friends. But

nothing happened out of limit. Infact, during its mahadasa, in my childhood, I

was a devottee of Goddess Vaishno Devi, deity as indicated my Rahu.

 

6.Venus - It gave me the interest in music and poetry. I used to play piano and

write poems, songs few years back.

 

7. Mercury - As for senses are concerned, Mercury rules smell. But as a 6L

aspected by Saturn, it is afflicted. So, it does not give me power of smelling.

I can not even smell flower , perfumes or any foul smell. As body tissues, it

rules skin. And its affliction gives me skin problems also.

 

8. Sun - Rules father and in 11H, house of gains, it indicates father will

quietly favour the native. However, Sun and Saturn are in 6-8 axis. This leads

to conflicts with father many times.

 

9. Moon - Since it's Amavasya birth, Moon is quite weak here. As Moon rules over

mind, I lost self-confidence many times. Since 11H rules friends, it does not

give me many friends. I just have 2-3 friends.

 

As senses, Sun and Moon rules sight. As both of them are in inimical sign and a

weak Moon gives affliction to poor eye-sight.
