Guest guest
dear nimmi You have made interesting statements. i am not going to opine whether you are right or wrong as i am too small for that, but certainly i could share some of my thoughts on the physical appearance thing. My lagna lord is in 5th aspects the lagna and 10th lord mercury is in lagna. That means my lagna lord is jupiter and he aspects mercury giving me profound interest in appearance. But i have been a very shy and reluctant person since my childhood. Never ever bought dresses for myself, nor did ever bother to comb my hari(except for the passport photographs). i am too shabby for a formal office. I never bother to think about my appearance in public or in real self. As i am interested about myself but in terms of spiritual and intellectual growth and external appearances have never bothered me much. Kind of recluse and very silent person i am. so i need to think that as u have said that the connection of 1st and 10th lords(which are the strongest planets in my chart and also the most prominent) i could really doubt such a supposition of 1st and 10th connection. It would be kind enough on your part if you could share your thoughts on this statement of mine. regards partha http://profiles./partvinu5 sjvc, "Nimmi Ragavan" <106350.3660@c...> wrote: > My mother and my brother are unusually particular about their appearance. I am very particular about what I wear but more in terms of what feels comfortable to me than appeals to others - very self focused as L1 in H1 can be. I always know exactly what I like and dislike. My husband on the other hand has L1 in H6 - it is like pulling teeth to get him to express a preference. He does have them, but is quite unconscious of them - says "whatever you like", but that is not really true, just gets unhappy if it does not suit. > > Best regards, > > Nimmi > - > Nandan Chakraborty > sjvc > Cc: sarajitp ; in_joy_i_scream > Thursday, January 31, 2002 9:19 AM > [sjvc] Answer to Lesson 4 expanded > > > Dear Gurus & friends > > I am yet to learn how to judge a chart's basic potential, ie the platform formed by various planets playing with each other. I need to do this, before learning their specific manifestations in dasas, etc. Hence, this is a 2 part exercise, concentrating more on the 1st part (ie appearance, its internal counterpart= health, external personality, & its internal counterpart= internal drivers), on my own chart. Much time has gone into thinking deeply about myself, & what my close friends think about me, to enable me to isolate only the KEY differentiating facts & significant events only - & try to correlate these to the most important astro-configurations in my chart. I have ignored nakshatras, arudhs (except AL), charakarakas, d-charts, etc, as the basic idea was to "squeeze the orange" to understand what the basic astro-variables were trying to tell me, instead of running away with a shotgun-use-all-variables approach (dangerous in the hands o f an astrology-kindergarten! er, as it would then justify everything). However, I am very unsatisfied with this attempt. And at guard, that I have fitted facts using wrong logic as it has suited me. Anyway, here it is, for whatever it is worth. It is enclosed as a Word doc, as formats go haywire in e-media (office machine, so no virus fears: only 3 pages). > > > As the Net medium has its inherent constraints, I was wondering if there is a learned member of this group in Bombay, whom I could meet, who could explain my this attempt in greater detail to me, as an initial KICK-OFF to learning astrology. Then I could go to the next step of doing a similar exercise for my close friends. > > > > > Best wishes > > Nandan > > > > > > -- ---------- > > -- ---------- > Download exciting Logos, Picture Messages & Ringtones for your mobile phone > Terms of Service. Guest guest
Dear Partha, (Did you say "silent", Partha? now, now... Actually, you must be very different from the person you come across in emails. Perhaps, like my husband, who is the gentlest sort, who becomes a critical and vocal complainer when he gets behind the wheel of a car, you too are different when you are not face to face! I am trying to imagine a meeting with you where you are shy and silent. That would be a great pity.) So there goes my theory out of the window... So you must have a sagittarius lagna with Jupiter in aries (ah, there comes the fire!) What if we add a corollary that the 10th ruler must be stronger than the 1st ruler, so that the person must care more about the public perception than their own satisfaction? My feeling is that broad characteristics like this should show in the rasi chart. Another thing I notice is that people with ascendant ruler in the 12th tend to hold back from making themselves noticed. But not ascendant ruler in the 5th! Are you sure this is true or is it the way you perceive yourself? My mother is not at all like that. But she too is like you, she does not hesitate to stand up for what she thinks (though in the softest and politest but most determined way). Anyway, I attach the two charts I have where we can say without a doubt that they are both very particular of their appearance. Both, coincidentally, are scorpio ascendants. My brother has NEVER been shy or modest in his life. He has been the most outgoing person ever since he was a toddler. He does have 6 out of 9 grahas in kendras, giving him a lot of energy and go. He is always doing something. Send me your chart and perhaps we can start two control sets - people who care about their appearance and those who dont. Best wishes, Nimmi Nimmi - "partvinu5" <partvinu5 <sjvc> Thursday, January 31, 2002 11:49 AM [sjvc] Re: Appearances-dear nimmi > > dear nimmi > > You have made interesting statements. i am not going to opine whether > you are right or wrong as i am too small for that, but certainly i > could share some of my thoughts on the physical appearance thing. > > My lagna lord is in 5th aspects the lagna and 10th lord mercury is in > lagna. Guest guest
dear nimmi how i wish jupiter would have been strong for me to make your wish come true. but the sad fct is i am indeed very quiet and shy. i rarely talk to ladies(unless it is emails). you must remember that environment and circumstances are so important to determine the nature of a person. Well i cant hide the fact that i have faced trememndous mishaps in my life. Burnt my body once(came out safely). lost and eye. lost my mother when i was 9. You can also notice that my lagna lord is with ketu. ketu is shy and introverted. in navamsa chart also i have sani in 5th indicating a shy person again. i do not percieve myself as shy and silent. i am actually very shy. regards partha sjvc, "Nimmi Ragavan" <106350.3660@c...> wrote: > Dear Partha, > > (Did you say "silent", Partha? now, now... > > Actually, you must be very different from the person you come across in > emails. Guest guest
Hello Partha, I have a STRONG Jupiter, but I am also very shy(!), is it because Ju is in Ketu's nakshatra? Are generally shy people good at writing, because it gives them an impersonal yet personal interface/interaction with society? Partha, you are quite young, I guess, going by your naivety. Perhaps the worst is over and the best in life is just around the corner :-) ?
