Namaste.

 

The lesson is again very nice. Thank you. Bellow are my attempts or answers. I

attached my chart also.

 

1. Using your own chart identify the sign each planet is in, state if the planet

is in it own sign, exaltation, detriment or moolatrikona. List the sign and

degree placement of each planet.

Sun - 12°7'32'' - Cancer

Moon - 8°18'18'' - Capricorn

Mars - 11°3'28'' - Scorpio; in my chart Ketu is stronger than Mars and he is then lord of Scorpio

Mercury - 19°3'52'' - Cancer

Jupiter - 8°32'36'' - Virgo

Venus - 0°30'13'' - Gemini

Saturn - 15°2'26'' - Aries; Saturn is here very near to his debilitation point (20°of Aries)

Rahu - 0°7'22' - Pisces

Ketu - 0°7'22' - Virgo

 

 

2. There are different characters of each planet is mentioned through out the

lesson. Identify from your own chart, at least one character of each planet

from your Rasi and Navamsa and write how does it influences you during its dasa

or antardasa.

 

- I was born during the Sun Dasa, Venus antardasa. My Sun is in 6th house with

the lord of 5th and 8th, and also debilitated in Navamsa. According to BPHS Sun

Dasa in such a case will be quite unfavorable. So, I suppose that I will have to

fight for the whole of my life with obstacles, enemies etc. Sun is king amongst

all planets so he will know how to manage this clashes with enemies for his own

(or my, in this case) benefit.

 

Moon Dasa begun one year after the birth. So, this was the time of my growing up

and childhood. Moon signifies mother and in my chart he is in 12th house

(Capricorn, which lord is cold and debilitated Saturn). My mother is not cold

person, but in the time of my childhood she was not able to spend much time

with me because of the other professional duties and responsibilities.

 

Mars matures at 28 years of age. Mars is in 10th house in my chart. So, he will

give his influence in career. Interesting is this that I feel that my career at

the age of 28 (or little bit later) get a serious shape and I matured in that

sense. I was able to make serious changes at that time not only concerning

career but also marriage and relationships, professional status and residence.

This was during the time of Rahu Dasa and antardasas of Mercury and Ketu.

 

Rahu and Ketu are interesting in this regard;

Rahu is Atmakaraka, through his lectures I will be able to come closer to God or

to advance spiritually. Rahu Dasa begun in 1987 and is still running. This Dasa

was (and still is) really spiritually enlivening. I begun to showing the

interest in spiritual knowledge at the beginning of Rahu Dasa. As it is said in

the lesson; "Rahu and Ketu represent the bushes... Though trees have more

practical and food value, a larger number of herbal medicines come from bushes.

Rahu and Ketu do not have much meat to satisfy our appetite; however, they do

teach us to take spiritual "medicine" in order to cure the panaceas of the

wordly life. They do this by creating discontentment, by fueling desire that is

unappeased by worldly living, and by separating us from areas of attachment.

They thereby have the capacity to serve as spiritual motivators."

So this can fully be applied in my case.

Next thing is; during Rahu / Ketu dasa there was serious changes or we can say a

sort of revulsion in relationship with spiritual master. Ketu is with Jupiter in

8th house creating a Guru Candala yoga.

 

Next period is Jupiter's. Jupiter is brahmin, spiritual master... he represents

also children. I can expect a lot of happening with my children (soon I will

become a father). In Navamsa Jupiter is in 10th house with Moon in Pisces, I

suppose this will bring some events in career etc.

 

Saturn represents a discipline, hard work, serving, old age, maturity, also some

delays in results. This things are to be expected during Saturn's Dasa.

 

Mercury is placed in the 6th house slightly combusted and very weak in shadbala.

I think he is most afflicted planet in my chart. During his dasa I can expect

some significators that will come from afflicted Mercury. Things that are

connected with worldly affairs, speech, communication, trade and negotiation

will be afflicted in some ways. Naivity, being cheated by opponents ...

 

I already mentioned Ketu, in connection with Rahu.

 

Venus represent passion, artistic talents, enjoyment in luxuries etc. He is in

mutual aspect with Rahu and I feel constant struggle between this two planets

and his significations. I already mentioned that Rahu is Atmakaraka, a sort of

teacher that teach spirituality and if Venus is not connected with spirituality

or if he (or she) does not get impetus from Atmakaraka then he will get

interested very much in sensual pleasures. So, I must be always alert and keep

this part of my personality under the check of spiritual practice and

inspiration from spiritual source.
