Hi Dilip,

I actually have a couple of charts with this combination - Scorpio ascendant

with Jupiter in Lagna. I couldn't disagree more with this statement. The person

concerned is one of the most ethical and intelligent people I know, an artist,

someone with a great deal of sensitivity and empathy.

2nd - exalted saturn as 5th lord in ascendant for Libra lagna - again coudn't be

further from the truth. If anything the person will bend over backwards to avoid

exploiting anyone in any way.

This has made me think - I suspect there has to be more to it that this.

The 5th lord is 11th to the 7th and so represents others income. If it is a

malefic and placed in lagna, I can understand that its malefic nature would

affect the actions and character of the person, and may work by acquiring

income belonging to someone else. But not otherwise.

In other words, the explanation may be a description of the kind of malefic

effects one can expect if there is a malefic in the lagna that conforms to the

pattern mentioned.

Checking my database, I have an aries ascendant with sun, jupiter, rahu and

venus in the ascendant. This person did in fact steal money from his employer

and used part of it to try and frame his spouse for the theft.

Regards,

Nimmi

[sjvc] book explaining result of the placement of the house-lord

OM SRI GURAVE NAMAH

------------------------------

Respected Gurus

Please let me know if there is any book where the result of the placement of

house- lords are explained in details. For example, it is given in BPHS that

5th lord in lagna makes a man miserly, crooked and stealer of others wealth.

Why so?

Regards

Dilip.

Dear Dr.D. Benerjee,

When analyzing the lords of houses all matters should be taken in mind:

1. interaction of the karakatwas of 5th with karakatwas of lagna, so

the native would be intelligent, would rise high, would be close to children,

may become a teacher, and interested in mantras, yantras etc.

2. The picture depends on the karakatwas of the ruler of 5th, if it

is Budha, the intelligence would be high, while guru would give excellence

in teaching and knowledgable person. Mangal would give rash temeper and

stubborn mind and with surya it could give authority or excellence in politics,

while shukra would give affectionate nature. In any case, graha would aspect

7th house of desires, sexual instincts and growth of material values

3. Now examine the argalas. 5th lord in lagna would have argalas on

12/10/3rd houses and secondary on 5th and 9th houses, while it would receive

argalas of 2/4/and houses. Thus if 5th lord is papa, it would damage 12th

house significations which cover vices, expences and bed pleasures. Ancient

texts attach a dosha to 5th lord in lagna, concerning at least one child.

One should intelligently apply the rules. In case of taurus lagna with

mercury in it, such problems may be seen, particularly with saturn and

venus in trines.

You may consult, Satya Jatakam

Best wishes,

Zoran
