Guest guest
Namaste, Guru Solaiji, Thank you for Lesson 3. My response to part 1 is in the accompanying text file, lesson_3_responses.txt. My response to part 2 is in the accompanying BMP file, bhacakra_nara_nArAyaNa.bmp. I had a few of questions on the lesson: 1) Is a divisional chart a 'magnification' or view into a certain existential scale? 2) How are the Shadripu manifesting on the sub-conscious plane resolved into view by dividing the D-6 into pieces 5 times smaller? 3) Is the first fundamental division of the bhacakra, implicitly mentioned on page 3, made by the ascendant/descendant line? 4) Is the sibilant in the word 'Das' in 'Das Avatar' the palatal sibilant? ('sh' ?) 5) Does the term 'Saptama Dwipa' translate roughly as '7th island/continent'? 6) Is the 'N' in 'Nara' the dental nasal? Also, are the two vowels both short 'a'? Thank you, Solaiji! The next question is which Graha should be given the over-lordship of this twelve-fold division or the twelve signs of the zodiac and why? The bhacakra is a band of stars existing about the ravimarga, i.e., ravi's path defines the bhacakra's central 'axis', or core -- so the bhacakra is defined by ravi and is therefore the domain of ravi. As these twelve signs inhabit ravi's realm, they could be considered to come under his dominion, so I would think ravi/sUrya is the overlord of the signs. 2. Make a schematic representation of the Earth, Bha-Chakra with its 12 spokes and mark out the areas of Nara & Narayana. Please see accompanying file -- bhacakra_nara_nArAyaNa.bmp -- for the graphic.
