"The 5th (child) shows poorvapunya."

 

Please someone explain the term poorvapunya.

 

And, it seems to me (without knowledge, just

speculating) that another reason could be that the

5th house is the 9th of the 9th.

Poorvapunya = poorva (past) + punya (good deeds)

= Good deeds done in the past (life).

 

There are times when a person is saved from an impending disaster --

this is attributed to the poorva punya of the person.
