Guest guest
Namaste. Please forgive my tardiness on the lessons. 1. Define the role of God in your life. God is the reason that I am here. I feel I am at God's service and hope that I'll be clear enough through meditation and yoga to do his/her will and not my ego's will. I work for a vegan food manufacturer and chose to work for this company because I feel I am doing God's will by producing food that will help people to become vegetarians and if more people become vegetarians, I hope that they will become clearer and can release some of their negative karma, and thereby help them become more conscious. Additionally, I hope it will help the planet as well, since fewer people will be eating meat (as cattle raising is a major cause of deforestation on the planet). 2. What have you done in the past year to come closer to God? I began practicing Iyengar yoga, and continue with my Qi Gong practice to clear blocks in my energy/body and to become more aware of my body. I chant 1 1/2 hours every day. I use yoga to center myself and become still. 3. Which statement is more relevant: (a) God is all, or (b) All is God Based on the reading, I would assume that both statements are correct and relevant. However, I do not believe I have had a direct experience of God, so I don't believe I am qualified to state which is so. 4. How is the role of a Jyotisha different from a priest? I assume that you meant a Hindu priest, and since I am not from India, I don't really know clearly what priests do in India. In U.S. I assume that priests (western religions) are there to help you know God and to help you develop your relationship to God. Since a Jyotisha is supposed to do the same, to help you become closer to God, then I believe the role of a Jyotisha is the same as a priest.
