Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Pranaam Gurudeva, I am no exception to lessons and I am submitting my answers for lesson 2 for your consideration. Answer 1:- God’s role in my life: I am an instrument in the hands of God. It can be a music instrument or a syringe. God operates all these instruments and a harmonious music comes out of it. The instruments are many, some are rock type and some are melodious type. But, as individual, they make different pitch sounds, when put together they make a sweet harmonious music, which reflects the God. >From the sound coming out of my instrument, there is a small distortion, and that distortion is MY AHAMKHAR (ahamkhar is not a simple translation of ego, it is the feeling of I and mine). God uses me to help in the course of HIS routine PROCESS. It is my duty to not to spoil HIS purpose or process. But, in deed, it gets spoiled because of MY AHAMKHAR. God uses me as a Syringe and he takes some medicine and inject into the world through me. I didn’t do anything. But, I yell on top of the world that I am the one who injected and I am the one who cured the world. Because of this AHAMKHAR, the quality of the medicine gets spoiled and I am not serving or helping the God in HIS process. When I remove this AHAMKHAR the music and medicine flow without any distortion or without contamination and I will remain as mere instrument. >From the stage of “What’s role of God in my life”, I change into “What is my role in God’s play”. This change of thinking is the God’s role in my life. Can I destroy this AHAMKHAR? I am trying ever since I joined SJVC. But, each and every action of mine carries a small amount of Ahamkhar in it. At one stage the quantity was high and each and every mail carried a lot of Ahamkhar and I forcefully forbidden me from sending mails during such period. Even in my words of humility Ahamkhara sits. Answer 2:- Shri Ragavendra showed me the path. After I got his blessings, he showed me Gurudeva Pt.Sanjay Rath and SJVC. From the knowledge I gained from him I read Bagavatam and Gita and I was shown a different dimension of meaning to Gita. I am trying my level best to KILL AHAMKARA. How? Yes as usual like others, through daily prayers. But, that is not sufficient. I sit everyday in my pooja room before going to bed and analyse, “in my today’s action, which action carried maximum quantity of Ahamkara”. I am sure, there is no action of mine without ahamkara. But, I took the maximum ones and trying to set the strategies to reduce the ahamkar in such actions. The quantum of destruction of Ahamkara, makes the path closer to GOD. 3. God is all or All is God. All of the members meant and interpreted the in a same manner. The meaning is same for all but, the terminologies, they used was different. Let us analyze: In “all is God”, the term “all”, does it includes God or excludes God? If it excludes God, then there is something missing. That is the link. Where is the link? Or the God stands away from the so called “all”. If it includes, then it reflects, “God is all”. Say for example, if I say, “ this land, this building, this farm are all mine” OK understandable. If I say, “ I am all these building, farm etc.,” Then, there is some amount of Supremacy or arrogance attached to the meaning. Such supremacy is applicable only to God. So, God is all is more appropriate. 4. Priest Vs Jyotish Already many of members touched all the relevant points, very nicely.
