Om Gurave Namah

----------------

Shri Sanjay and Solai,

Namaste. Regarding Neechabhanga, I read in Dr. Raman's

"Catechism on Astrology" that the benefits of

Neechabhanga will accrue mostly during the

dasa/antardasa of the planet(s) who'd caused the

neechabhanga, since it is quite possible that

neechabhanga is caused in more than one way and by

more than one planet.

It is also mentioned that where neechabhanga is

strong, it is almost equal to exaltation. The

situation of the neecha planet, the strength of the

planet(s) causing neechabhanga etc. would determine

the extent of neechabhanga.

Guruji, are the results of neechabhanga solely derived

from the naisargika / functional significations of the

"neecha" planet ?

OR

vary/(get modified) according to the naisargika /

functional significations of the planet that caused

the neechabhanga?

Example:

1) In my chart Venus is debilitated in the 10th

house(virgo), but neechabhanga is caused by

Jupiter(7th lord from Venus), who's situated in

lagna/chandra lagna, being the lagna lord. So, the

results, according to B.V. Raman would fructify more

in Guru Mahadasa/Antardasa than in Sukra Mahadasa.

Here, I also strongly feel that Venus's

significations would be heavily influenced by those of

Guru.

2) Now, suppose the Neechabhanga were to be caused by

Mercury (dispositor of Venus), I feel that the results

would be more influenced by the significations of

Mercury, and that there would be a marked difference

between the results output in (1) and (2) cases.

So, with all parameters of the "neecha" planet

remaining constant, does the "hue" of neechabhanga

change in consonance with different planets (variable)

causing it? Shri Raman did not comment about this.

Waiting for your guidance.

Regards,

Lakshmi
