Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Jyotisha, It is very sad that only 17 members of SJVC has responded for this simple lesson. In fact the questions do not ask for any astrological knowledge or information. I do not know why many of you have not responded. This will not serve the purpose of SJVC. We all have to work together to achieve the goals of SJVC. For the lesson 1 also only a hand full had answered. But, this lesson 2 is very simple and anybody can answer. I give below the list of members, who have not sent answers to lesson 2. (Those who answered in Varahamihira are not included in the list). I request all of these members to send their answers as soon as possible. Guest guest
SJVC Lesson 2 Assignments ------------------------- 1. Try to define the role of God in your life. Being born in a relatively orthodox and religious family meant that right from my childhood I was introduced to the concept of God, prayer, etc, although not necessarily from an objective viewpoint. But in the past several years I have done a lot of introspection and thinking for myself and tried to understand for myself what God really means, especially to me. I see God as a supreme, all-pervading, energy/force with what we commonly refer to as intelligence. To me God helps me achieve focus in my life. Through prayer and ritual I try to understand my purpose on this earth. I worship God in his/her different avatars depending on the particular area of my life that I am trying to concentrate on at that time. 2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? I have started to spend more time on meditation, prayer and ritual, besides starting to learn Jyotish. With reference to my previous answer, I feel that these have helped me achieve greater focus in my life. These have also helped me increase my knowledge and understanding of various approaches to the concept of a supreme being, with my focus being more on the Vedic approach as expounded in the various texts such as the Bhagavad Gita. 3. Which statement is more relevant: (a) God is all or (b) All is God To me both are equally relevant and one naturally leads to the other. Referring to my answer to the first question, I see God as an all-pervading energy, so God is in everything in this universe, animate or inanimate. And to me God is indifferentiable in all his/her forms - there aren't higher or lower forms of God and all parts are equal to each other and to the whole. So if God is in everything, everything is God. 4. How is the role of a Jyotish different from that of a priest? The role of a Jyotish is to help the person understand the purpose of his/her birth with reference to the atman and to lead them in the path of dharma. The priest helps the person move along that path, through his knowledge of ritual, prayer and worship, both in terms of the different choices that a person may chose for himself/herself and also the correct way (according to the scriptures) to perform those rituals, etc. The Jyotish gives advice about WHAT needs to be done, the priest knows HOW it should be done and gives advice and helps the person in that aspect. Guest guest
Hare Krishna. All glories to Sri Jaganath, Sri Baladeva and Srimati Subhadra. Before answer the questions, i would like to know if someone can explain the meaning of Jyotisha. i don't understand the rol of the 9, 10 and 12 house. Now, the answers: 1. I don't know if Krishna must have a rol in my life. What i want, is that my guru has a role for me in his life. 2. To become closer of my guru. 3. Krishna is all. Srila Prabhupada explains that the second is not true. 4. The jyotisha don't depend enterely from the Krishna's desire. Thanks for your time. Your sisya: Arjuna-vallabha das. ____________________________ mensaje enviado desde http://www.iespana.es emails (pop)-paginas web (espacio ilimitado)-agenda-favoritos (bookmarks)-foros -Chat
Guest guest
#1 I have not been exposed to Hinduism to much so my answer is a bit different. God to me has communicated his "Codes of Conduct" in all the great scriptures. This means Buddhism, Christianity, Judism, Muslim, etc. etc.. This has come from him and has been handed to us for humanity's progression to self-idealization. So God for me is that force which lies in each of us,and is out there to discover,in order to take part in this progression. So far as individual self-realization, it also acts as a guide in that respect too. Humananity is based on many lives, and these many lives produce certain results as the result of regarding, or disregarding these scriptures. And in addition to this, aquiring the rationale behind the scriptures as well. #2 The last year I am continuing to expound on the one scripture which has been largely disregarded. And as the result humanity is suffering. The scripture I am referring to is the matter of usury. In most scriptures it is forbidden to take interest on money loaned. However many have taken it upon themselves to disregard it, and rationalized it as "rent" for money loaned. Not true. #3 The answer is both.
