Pranam guruji & members,

My answers to Lesson No.2

Q.1. Try to define the role of God in your life?

I believe in "HARI SARVOTTAMA VAYU JEEVOTTAMA – HARI IS

OMNIPRESENT". My birthchart is a typical example. I was told long

back by a local jyothisha that I was born to complete the `KARMA' in

my so journ. By this, I need not elaborate how I believe in God who

is helping me in all my deeds and troubles. My destiny is MOKTCHA.

Q.2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God?

Daily I spend some time in the morning to complete my

daily "SANDHYAVANDANAM" followed by PUJA(worship of God). I

really find peace, harmony of my senses during that time. Whether I

have come closer to God or not,

I am yet to experience.

Q.3. Which statement is more relevant (a) God is all (b) All is God?

In my opinion, the statement that is more relevant in this age,

is `GOD IS ALL' even though both conveys the same meaning. I believe

that by saying `ALL IS GOD', we, human, do not attach any

significance to what we say, but we may merely accept the statement,

in some sense. We do not implement when it comes to accept the

truth. Then the usual RAJAS OR TAMAS GUNA bars one's mind to oppose

the reality.

Q.4. How is the role of jyothish different from a priest.

"Priest is considered to be a middleman between Human and God", the

saying goes. He is a learned man, a Brahman, in the eyes of human

beings and represents human to God with prayers, chanting of hymns

(mantras) etc. The role of jyotish is different from that of a

priest, in that, he is also a learned man, guides the Human to God,

helps one to know

present, past and forecasts future of a person, his destiny and

deseases, happiness and sorrows etc. He suggests alternatives to

overcome short-comings/sufferings etc. He is rightman to guide the

human to God.

kinldy correct if any mistakes, misconceptions are there in my

thought.

with regards,
