Guest guest
Respected Jyotish Guru: Here are my answers to Lession-2 1. Try to define the role of God in your life? Ans: I think we exist in God(the pure consciousness). So all action on my part that helped others, was his role in my life. Others that hurt, he will make sure that I'm paid back with the same coin. 2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? Ans: Well, he is the closest to me, I remind myself and remember HIM. Knowing that HE is everything around me, I try to serve them as I would serve HIM. 3. Which statement is more relevant: (a) God is all, or (b) All is God Ans : Both are true. All existence is in HIM and HE is all that exists. 4. How is the role of a Jyotish di®erent from a priest? Ans: I think a priest is he who know the right way(according to scriptures) to worship the Lord. He is a hole man, who is in lords service all the time. Whereas a Jyotish looking at persons chart is in a position to understand his life pattern therefore give him the right advice which would help him to led a life which leads to growing inner piece and not fruitless struggle to fulfil desires. with best regards Bimal _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Guruji, Here are me answers for 2nd Lesson. 1. Role of God. Earlier I had Athiestic approach to explain all things around me but over time I realized that this approach is incomplete and hence wrong. God for me is complete knowledge and remedy for all pains in Life. Overtime maybe I'll know more and more about all his/her wonders. 2. What have I done closer to god?. Started to study Jyotish. Read on Gita, Upanishads, Vedas, Saints, Puranas(Bhagavatam) etc. Also started mantra and puja practice. Basically trying to search thru the books. I hope it does not end up as bookish knowledge. 3. 'All is God' is more relevant. Since 'God is All' could mean that God IS just an equal or subset of All(Everything) but 'All is God', accepts that everything IS God and leaves room for Beyond also to become God. 4. Difference between Jyotish and Priest. Jyotish explains the unseen Law of Karma by foretelling the future and also the various influence of Time on Creations and showing the acts of God Priest helps the person to reduce his karma, by helping the individual in giving various obalations to God and so the individual is getting closer to God. Guest guest
Respected Solaiji and Gaurangaji, Here is my humble attempt, 1. Try to define the role of God in your life? God is pure consciousness, He is the ocean of all knowing intelligence, He is like pure light - which has no colour. So He is formless. Again as we see light when it is reflected in a medium, thus we see and understand nature of God - when the pure consciousness is reflected through his various forms like His idols and all beings in this universe including the universe itself. It is amazing to me when I think of this universe and the perfect laws by which it moves. This law itself is God. 2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? Nothing particular. We cannot go closer to him unless He himself comes to us. If a person is lost in a dark forest - he can only light a lamp and wait for help. With the light he cannot see upto much distance, but another person can see the light even from a long distance and come for help. Likewise we can only light the lamp of knowledge with devotion and wait for His coming to us for guidance. 3. Which statement is more relevant: (a) God is all, or (b) All is God Both are true-as far as I understand. As I am in my body everywhere and every part of the body is nothing but myself - God is everywhere and everything is He only. 4. How is the role of a Jyotish different from a priest? Priest is like an electrician. He can only connect us to God when everything is going fine and there is no major breakdown. But Jyotish is the engineer-who understand the laws of Him and can guide us to the right path in case of a major breakdowns. Jyotish is like a guru. With best regards, J.K.
