Guest guest
Dear Nicholas / Pursottam, Pluto being an Outer, like Uranus and Neptune - as you know these DO have effects, but VERY marginal effects on Human Lives - more they affect the "Lives"/unfolding of Nations (whose Life-Spans are of course far greater than any individual's) - why? Only because their revolutions around the Sun take so long - while they may not have much effect on each of us, their Huge Bulk (particularly Uranus and Neptune) could and should affect some things of the Earth. Since this is a highly unusual case (puzzle), Pluto could very well be involved - it is somewhat similar to Rahu and Ketu (shadowy / strange), and therefore Pursottam could be correct in utilising it for the Puzzle - whether Pluto had NO effect (and it was ONLY due to Rahu/Ketu - who Pursottam has also indicated were involved at the time, especially Rahu) is beyond the Scope of my Knowledege. And yet, this still doesn't disprove that the effects in my puzzle weren't due to the Outers. Hope this clarifies. Very best regards - Sateesh. ======================= - Pursottam Dabasia <pursottam_dabasia costa <costa; <Vedicstar; <gjlist Thursday, September 30, 1999 5:07 PM Re: Pluto > Om Krishnaay Namah > > Hi Nicholas! > > >>it's not the size of your tool chest but how well > you can use your > tools<< > > The fact that Sateesh said "Correct!", shows that we > can use those tools known as outer planets quite well, > and therefore they deserve to be added to my toolbox. > > Hare Krishna, > > Pursottam > __________ > > Get your free @.co.uk address at http://mail..co.uk > or your free @.ie address at http://mail..ie >
Guest guest
In a message dated 9/30/99 7:08:27 PM Eastern Daylight Time, sat writes: << but their effects were too slow moving for the average Human Life Span - I have also seen it stated that they are "Octaves" (which I guess means "equivalents") of Venus / Mercury / Mars (can't remember which Outer was said to be similar in Nature to which "Vedic" Planet, though. >> In western astrology the correspondences are Mercury to Uranus, Venus to Neptune and Mars to Pluto. I think you will find that exact aspects, especially conjunctions to the planets, ascendant and midheaven, are quite profound. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji, Pluto as such is more used in Western Astrology. I have myself not seen use of Pluto in Vedic Astrology. Although you are right that some astrologers might have got influenced from the west. Maybe another important aspect to see now is that whether astrologers in west continue to use it or not. And if yes for how long. Guest guest
Dear Ganeshji, Krishna Murthy Padhati does not use these planets for delienating predictions, though the reference may be there.,in theory. But all the major institutes (I shall not name them), in India do have syllabus in astrology (Vedic astrology or just astrology as you call it), where students have to use these planets as points too when making mathematical charts. And if You remember I have already mentioned 3-4 days back in some message that more n more planets as such would be discovered...... Probably prophetic ? C mon just joking. we are here not to name who all uses these planets which is actually waste of time, but to accentuatethe fact that its good that the westerners have realised , and those among us who are also using this should realise, so that new students should not be forced to work extra bcoz of these 3 planets which does not have any say in Vedic astrology. regards, Bhaskar. , "sriganeshh" <sriganeshh wrote: > > //hare ramakrsna// > > Dear Bhaskarji, > > as such vedic astrology deals only with 7+2 as you said, all these > additions are used by krishnamurthi paddhati...is it correct...? or > is it additions by the new generation jyotish's..also throw light on > yesterday's times of india, mumbai edition article on discovery of > 12th planet... > > sriganeshh > > , "Gaurav Sharma" > <gauravkom@> wrote: > > > > Dear Bhaskar ji, > > > > Pluto as such is more used in Western Astrology. > I > > have myself not seen use of Pluto in Vedic Astrology. Guest guest
Dear Sri Ganesh, To conclude the mail, in short these additions have been mentioned not just by Krishna Murthy but by most famous astrologers in last 5o years, in India too, but more extensively the application is done todays by younger generations, as they want to be at par with westerners, -suffering from complex probably that they would be behind their foreign counterparts.(Again remember that reference or mentioning these planets in books does not mean using them, it means that the knowledge of the existence of these planets is there by the authors, it does not imply that they use them ). If You do good reading of astrology books You will find the mention in almost all the books, but application , No. Bhaskar. , "sriganeshh" <sriganeshh wrote: > > //hare ramakrsna// > > Dear Bhaskarji, > > as such vedic astrology deals only with 7+2 as you said, all these > additions are used by krishnamurthi paddhati...is it correct...? or > is it additions by the new generation jyotish's..also throw light on > yesterday's times of india, mumbai edition article on discovery of > 12th planet... > > sriganeshh > > , "Gaurav Sharma" > <gauravkom@> wrote: > > > > Dear Bhaskar ji, > > > > Pluto as such is more used in Western Astrology. > I > > have myself not seen use of Pluto in Vedic Astrology. Guest guest
Hi Dear Wendy, Thanks for this sweet note. I will call PL as soon as time allows here and ask them. It's easiest to call them and from here no problem. You still may not have heard back from them. For some of the tougher questions to them, they often refer me to a tech/programer who is very good and in India. Perhaps you have been given his email contact by now. Things still pretty wild here so not much time on list, my apologies. I look forward to more time soon. I am happy to see you take time when needed for yourself and life there. Don't be the least concerned regarding making comments for what I'd written regarding Mel Gibson, or any other posts ;-)! I've lost count of the number of times I've thought to respond to your comments on Mel Gibson but each time something else comes up and it's put aside...perhaps over the weekend, God willing, I can take another look :-) Yes, the Pluto issue has raised some concerns for those accustomed to including Pluto in their readings. The tropical astrologers must be somewhat dazed by it all...also I think many of the modern Jyotishi use the trans-Saturnian planets today...a lot of re-thinking going on, I would say. Regarding the error in PL; I sent off an email yesterday to their customer service dept but (as yet) have had no reply. It's quite disappointing to find these errors as PL definitely is my software of choice...I've gotten used to it now and don't relish going back to GJ. Guest guest
Dear Patrice and All, Just a quick note before I call it a day...past midnight here now. My PC has been dying a slow and painful death in front of my eyes, so today I took delivery of a new laptop...had no choice really, either that or no computing whatsoever. Have been busy all day installing software and whatnot...finally everything is (just about) up and running and I'm ready for bed. Patrice, I never did get a reply from PL regarding that error?? Guest guest
Dear All, Just a quick note re Pluto- not included in Jyotish anyway. But I've seen how potent that non-planet is, many times. Yes, in conjunctions with less than a degree orb, but powerful anyway. I've seen conj. with Venus bring love/obsession/, all of you if you can remember that transit please write. Conj. with Mars /provided NTChart allows for that/ brings some 'intense' experience, violence sometimes. Those with Sun in early Sag /late sag with tropical/ experience contact these days, and I've seen issues related to...popping up. I've experienced Moon/Pluto contact in my Moon MD /amplified by an eclipse!, and it was the worst period ever! Hearing more opinions and experiences would certainly help.
